    Hi!
Besides one specific application, I can't say I really have anything planned out for a listed length at the moment. That one app I have I'll end up buying - the wear bar for the bottom of the ATV plow. I trash mine every couple years on my horrible gravel driveway. Last time I welded a 10 inch piece at each end to go over the most worn corners, but its overall height is now again too little. I'll just put a new whole length on this time and weld it to the plow itself. Cheaper DYI instead of buying a long painted bar at the dealer.

What I was thinking otherwise is for just experimenting on some random ideas for trinkets in the truck bed or small stuff to make shed hangers with. Like, one thing I did with what was around was just cut a 1/4 inch x 1 inch flat to 1 inch long, drill and tap. Instant bed rail "nut" to bolt up stuff for pennies. Might try to get one or two gas canister and tote holders together for in the bed. Most things like this I just do on the fly as I think of them, so any misc parts work to start with. Plus I can practice my ... we'll call "welding"... :anonymous:

I do miss digging in the scrap piles at work haha. I was in R&D positions most of the time, so it wasn't big piles like on the production floor but sometimes unique stuff. If you got some of that easily enough and are offering, I could take you up on that at some point. Bucket o' bits or whatever, but probably just hot roll? Does cold weld about the same? Never did any cold roll yet. And I'm staying away from stainless and alum for now. I got enough performance issue lol.

I believe cold roll is the same just no scale on it. I don’t weld?

I'll most likely get to QCS at some point, once I have more definitive projects I want to attempt with bigger pieces. Probably much better stock than tractor supply lol. But if Jeff has small scrappy pieces to play with I can start there, obviously not looking to take advantage. I'm still just puttzing around and learning. I destroy more than I create - see the line below my avatar name!

I got off there at exit 16 for a decade and haven't used it now in 5 years. I can only imagine the fun with the restarted (?) exit work and whatever was happening with the main drag in Winooski. Get past the bridge to Intervale... :turtleride:

Gonna try to swing down your way on Sat and stop in to oogle the shop :bananadance:

Just bouncing these thoughts off you guys gets me fired up to hack around much more.... I'm gonna need a haulin' trailer for stock at some point aren't I.... but I'll need material to build a trailer, but first I'll need a trailer to haul material, but then.....arrggg black hole

Mornin'.... with a public service announcement -

In case anyone missed it, the Franklin County Field Days / fair is cancelled this year. Something about the state not giving a permit for it at the airport now. I think the airport expanded a bit and there has been lots of road pipework or something along 78 for a while.

I hope you make it! I’d really like to start doing a monthly event. I’ve met so many great people in the past year and it would be awesome to get the community linked up a little more.

I also need to get an excavator dropped off so I can start working on the property. Picnic tables, extra parking, test trails…:D

Odi got a little sister, Raven. We’ve had her for a week, she’s awesome. Took her to the vet yesterday, they said she’s about 6 months old. Weighed in at 19lbs. Odi is 45, I don’t think she’ll be any bigger than him.
