What is it again? Am I remembering correctly that it's a 350 with a flatbed? Friend's father was looking for something older but more practical for work than his Jeep and might like a flatbed.

My uncle is going to be selling his Duramax soon (2018, 28,000 miles) and CarMax and Carvana have decent offers. I suggested he just take that rather than listing and dealing with the drama.

It's too nice a truck worth too much to deal with the lowlifes that come out of the woodwork and at this point in his life I don't think he needs the hassle. He's probably losing a bit, but sometimes the loss of pain and aggravation makes it worth it.

What are the minimums like? I've got a friend (me) who has a few (a lot) ideas and they're pretty good (they're not).

I don’t think she has a set for minimums. Shoot me a message for what your thinking and I’ll see what she says

Same reason I traded the Colorado in, though I didn't want to risk it having any more issues and having it come back to me.

You are a brave man James, and a much better man than I if you can navigate Both fishing in a kayak and bringing your dog on the same kayak At the same time. Fishing in a kayak, in and of itself, Is extremely difficult and yes a lot more personalized to the fisherman but holy crap Bringing your dog with you at the same time brings an entirely different level.

    Too many to list...
Hey folks - shot in the dark here, but I'm on Cape Cod at my family's place and I have a few beadlock bolts that have broken. Anyone local to the Cape willing to assist or recommend a shop that can help? I'd fix myself usually but don't have a torque wrench here... I know I know, don't run beadlocks all the time, and don't travel without tools, etc. It's my fault.
Traveling with our toddler and tons of gear so most concerned about safety getting home. Any help would be really appreciated.

I’m in North Chatham but don’t have any tools either. I don’t even have my truck. All I can give is moral support. The two garages I know of are Roundabout Gas on Main St right at the rotary and Sav-On on RT 28 North Chatham. Sav-On typically have a few older 4WD vehicles on their lot so I’d imagine they might be more suited vs Roundabout which is more European.

I know a good shop in Hanover but that's an hour or so off Cape.

I have a cheapo torque wrench (HF), IDK what other tools are needed.

I’m traveling in the Hyannis area this afternoon. Downpours and minor street flooding !

I’m in my RAV 4 with only a Leatherman multitool. Besides, I’m not much of a mechanic.

Yeah it’s probably time to move on from the GX. I still owe money on it and the warranty is ending in the near future. I’ve had issues with it and it’s all been taken care of by the dealer but i don’t want to be on the hook afterward. I’m in need of a pickup for plowing the driveway and work around the house. Plan is a cheap commuter car and a pickup to plow and do house chores in the winter months. I can take the money from the GX sale, pay off the loan and have cash to get both vehicles hopefully. I end up net neutral with no monthly payments and two vehicles with purpose for me.

At least I think that’s how this works out haha.

I would move on. Being willing to do so may make her actually follow through. Many years ago I worked selling cars. Woman came in one day, test drove a car, agreed to buy it at full price and went down to finance. I was very skeptical that the deal was going to be real. Talked to the finance director after she left and he just said "We'll see." An hour later he says that her credit report came back. She does not work where she said she works. He calls her and she tells him "Oh yeah, I forgot. That was my old work place. Here is my new work place." She didn't work there either.

Oh don’t worry, I already spent 5 hours Monday morning renting a trailer, driving 2 hours to see the car only to learn it’s in terrible shape, has an awful misfire and the check engine light is on with 13 codes. I told her I would pass on this one and walked away. I truly think the girl works for a family and is trying to help them sell it so I gave her a little grace but I definitely wasn’t happy to get there and see the car in bad shape.
