Thought this was a truck forum not a presumptuous personal finance one. But okay.

Not sure why everyone on here is always so concerned about other people’s $.

There's a lot of wisdom here, and just because it doesn't align with your views, I wouldn't discount it. If many people here are saying that mods aren't worth the money, there's probably a good reason for it.

The OP solicited opinions. I offered one. They are free to accept/ignore as they desire.
No presumptions. Just generalized observations about new homes, boats and women.

But you felt the need to specifically chime in on my comment with some nonsense about "mAkE mORe $$$," as if that's a viable option for the vast majority of people. Because if it was, most would. And most would absolutely blow every penny of the incremental income because: Lifestyle Creep.

Making more $ is an option for every person in this forum. Welcome to America, land or opportunity.

Pinching pennies isn’t a way to wealth and, if OP learns a lesson spending too much $ on his truck, that is a much better way to learn that lesson than to learn it in a more expensive fashion.

Why do I feel like there's an MLM pitch incoming?

OK, I totally apologize for suggesting that you may or may not be involved with Mary Kay. I would hate to hurt anyone's fee fees here on TW.

Want to d*ck measure? You will regret it.

You’re the one with the defeatist mentality who thinks most here can’t make any additional $. If your only ideas are related to “MLM” or “Mary Kay”, yeah sure I can see why you’d think that.

I have zero interest in checking out your junk. This is a truck forum, remember?

[I legit apologize to the OP and anyone unfortunate enough to read this ongoing exchange with angry clown boy. I fell for the bait. Won't happen again]

so real quick, 33s will already lead you to cab mount chop and it IS a must (unless you just mall crawl) Why not look at improving what you have; better shocks/springs, address the towing along with that, lighting for camping/fishing adventures, changing all the fluids and just enjoy the truck for now. See where your life brings you with it and then modify for what you need.

Ok, but at the same time it’s all subjective. Mods that many find not worth the money are integral to why others buy a Tacoma in the first place. For me seat warmers and automatic windows mods seem a waste of time/money, others see them as crucial mods to their preferred experience.

just like finger wagging to people you don’t know about lifestyle creep over modding a truck on a forum largely dedicated to modding trucks doesn’t make sense to everyone.

The OP seems to know what he wants, and has stated his plans for this year, so I have to assume he has the expendable cash. Maybe focus on these planned mods.

    This is helpful input: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-mods-to-do-first.860042/page-2#post-30671241

Things I know I WILL do to this truck this year:

Suspension lift (Bilstein seems to be the go to)

    33” tires

    Headlights/ taillights

New sound system (door speakers, amp, head unit/ display, sub woofer)

    Skid plate (s)

Good/ bright blue lights for the grill (firefighter)

    Undercoating

Very much into this being a black and red truck. All chrome is subject to be converted to black.

Im gonna KMS guys stop - I made a fuck load of money in commissions and instead of buying a new mercedes or BMW like every other sales dick head, I'm dropping $19k on a 2015 tacoma that is in mint shape and god damnit I want to blow $5-10k on this thing. Plenty of other dickweeds buy a $70k stock parking lot princess and are deep in debt. I also just Paid off $21k in 0% interest credit card debt that I used to add value into my new home. I have the finance bit figured out lol

Do you have the JBL system?

It's an absolute dog of a system and you can do a reasonable upgrade through Crutchfield, with all the brackets and harnesses. I'd highly recommend my setup.
