    Finished up the inverter bulkhead.

    IMG_2504.jpg IMG_2502.jpg

I wasn't going to install it originally, however, I already have it and it's purpose is for the neighborhood parades. But for the rear passengers that might need to charge their phone, it's worth it.

I left space to put the novelty plate once the registration is completed.

Also, found this chart online. Definitely happy that we went electric for the golf cart ;)

Been slow due to some business this week.

Swapped out the husky ratchet strap with a green one to match the Eco battery and the controller:

    IMG_2549.jpg

Next week, I'm reaching out to my neighbor about the LSV registration service he used/recommended and will start gathering all the paperwork from the accessories installed related to making the cart street legal.

I reached out to swisstrax for a quote for the 2 car bay. I should be receiving more information from them today or early next week.

Lastly, we figured out a new plan for the shed and where that will be placed. I'm excited to get the lawnmower and yard equipment out of the garage.

Brought out the dry erase board in the garage to keep track of everything that needs to get done.

They came this week to take the cart and process LSV registration.

    IMG_2762.jpg

Went with radials for the cart. Not much to choose from. LSV requirements dictates DOT required.

Learned that 27x8.5r14 LT's tires will fit. So future plans secured...

    IMG_2771.jpg

Got them swapped over today at home. Pain in the motherfucking ass.

4-6 weeks for LSV to be completed.

    Few updates.

    Golf cart:

    - still waiting on LSV registration. Still hoping that everything can get done before memorial day.

    - swapped out the driver's side brake cable for better clearance. Ordered a passenger side cable and swapped it out:

    Before:

    - red; right side (passenger)
    - blue; left side (driver). You can see the tension of the cable after lifting and putting 23's on the cart. Not good if bigger tires are in the future.

    IMG_2877.jpg

    After:

    IMG_2881.jpg

    - one of the lithium battery company reps has been following the build and offered to send me a shirt for my hard work. Hilarious..

    IMG_2886.jpg

    - I left a review of the new tires on the vendor's website that I purchased from. Well, the tire company posted my review to their story on IG. No t-shirt, however, I was curious if they have any plans to offer bigger tire sizes in the future. They might. Would love some 25's or even 27's :D

    IMG_2925.png

    IMG_2924.png

    IMG_2929.jpg

    - sold the old tires to someone to recoupe some money. Marketplace here is wild.

    - lastly, still toying with upgrading the front shocks to the commonly used dirt bike/ATV shocks from Amazon. A neighbor here is thinking of designing and fabricating his own a-arm kit for his 6 seater club car and I might be able to sell these shocks to him.

    Garage organization:

I have been meaning to build a shelf system to hold my new organizers on the bench. This system isn't perfect because I have to be able to lift the tabletop to access the longer items underneath the bench top, but, it's the best spot I have for now. Managed to whip this up on my lunch break:

    IMG_2928.jpg

    Tacoma:

    - I need to get some painting done again on the sliders and touch up some paint on the rear bumper.

    - I also need to get these bins of parts installed, too. Knuckles, wheel bearings, ECGS bushing etc. Scheduling is getting busy so I am thinking about getting things together for the fall.

    - I did get a new mounting bracket for the maxtrax. This bracket allows you to fold the mounting pins down and out of the way for hauling items on the roof.

    IMG_2932.jpg

    House:

    - last weekend, the weather allowed us to get the built-ins one step closer to finalized. Basically, it rained. We got the bead board done on the outside, mantle mounted for good, caulked the gaps, added a bunch of trim pieces and painted some. All that's left is painting the side bead board and trim and the crown molding and getting some hardware for the cabinet doors.

    Update? Ok..

Got the built-ins finalized and finished; painted and caulked. This was the move for sure:

    IMG_2949.jpg IMG_2950.jpg IMG_2951.jpg

LSV came back as failed because the triangle was too small. Not sure how the company that was responsible for knowing this did not say anything unless it is something new. Had a spare full size one that I put on amd sent the photo.

Like many other states, with the condition of vehicles on the road, I'm shocked they even give a fuck about something like this.

    IMG_3002.jpg IMG_3003.jpg

Only lost one crossbar to a single frozen bolt but I plan on retapping the hole..maybe.

    IMG_3004.jpg IMG_3005.jpg IMG_3006.jpg IMG_3007.jpg

I plan on removing the roof rack and repainting it completely.. eventually..

    IMG_3008.jpg

    Not pictured (kind of):

    - replaced the hose for my power washer with one that won't kink (pictured above).
    - similarly, I put quick connect hose fittings on all my garden hoses and the power washer to be able to click and go. Reason being was we did some power washing 2 weekends ago and twisting everything on is so 2000's. Plus no longer losing the rubber seals is getting old.

Getting to the time of year where working outside for long periods of time sucks ass. Was hanging with some neighbors this weekend and one of them wants help getting his cart LSV'd and do a few upgrades on his 6 seater. He had to replace his water heater on Monday (which I helped him with) so have to get with him again and see what his wife says after that had to be replaced.

    Good times all around.

Well, didn't feel like wasting my time on the crossbar. I forgot it has one bolt snapped on each side. Started drilling one side out and it now has a snapped off drill bit in it. I should be able to use it on the golf cart if I decide to mount a sound bar; just cut to length and re-tap each end.

    I ordered 2 new crossbars.

Finally going to be addressing the carrier bearing with a new product:

    upload_2025-5-29_22-24-26.png

    https://www.jxbperformance.com/prod...100-driveshaft-center-support-bearing-upgrade

Available for pre-order right now until the end of next week, I believe.

Gonna find a shop that can rebuild the spare one and I'll toss the freshly rebuilt one in and the one on the truck now will be for offroading. I was working on getting this done up north but then a move and wedding happened.

Still aiming for fall to get the front mods finally done. The heat is getting real already here.

Went home to tinker in the garage. Did some reorganizing, house chores and whipped up a spray paint can shaker:

Got some more things to get done soon for the house. Making our way through the list.

Oven's probably getting replaced, soon, too. Might take a sledgehammer to the thing in the driveway.

I have been chasing a strange rattle that would happen every time I started the truck. Today, I found and resolved it.

    IMG_3047.jpg

The front mounting hole blew through the heat shield. It was resting on the catalytic converter. A fender washer and nut resolved it and I even put fender washers on the middle and rear most hole to prevent another issue.

Working on toolbox organization. I have foam coming this week for the top drawer and the next drawer down.

Worked on getting the top drawer laid out better so that it is mostly all sockets ratchets, and extensions. The entire drawer will be foam with the exception of the socket holders/rails. I will be working on filling the socket rails up with the missing sockets to have full sets.

    IMG_3053.jpg

Ordered and received new spanner wrench organizers today. The old tekton organizers are really bulky.

    IMG_3051.jpg

    After:

This drawer will also be foam besides the areas where the spanner wrench organizers are. I kept the theme from the top drawer using green organizers for the standard tool sets. The standard wrenches are on one rail. I still have to trim up the top rail in the photo for the metric (black) rail.

Very, very happy with the progress today.

    IMG_3052.jpg

Cleaned up some more drawers of the toolbox but moving the various organization boxes into one bin to free up space:

    - assorted snap rings
    - cotter pins
    - trim panel clips
    - rubber grommets
    - garden hose quick connects

    With room to spare.

    IMG_3054.jpg

Pretty happy with this drawer and I think I will get the Milwaukee tools in this drawer in foam, too:

    IMG_3057.jpg

Right now, I am considering getting the cordless and corded tools organized in their own area and no longer kept in the toolbox drawers. I was considering a 42" USG series 3 but the space I was able to free up today was surprising. Getting the cordless tools out of the drawers would be MASSIVE.

Top drawer is done. I just need to fill in all the missing sockets to have complete sets of everything.

Ratchets and extensions are in cutouts. The socket rails in the middle are not cutout.

    IMG_3079.jpg

Socket trays are cutout completely in the 1/2" layer and sit flush with the foam. They don't move.

    IMG_3077.jpg IMG_3080.jpg IMG_3081.jpg

Decided to put foam in the entire second drawer in case I need to expand in the future. Wrenches still fit and I have plans to expand the wrench sets. Pretty set on the screwdrivers in the middle with the flat tips at the back and the philips heads in the front. Just need to cut them out.

    IMG_3083.jpg

I have enough foam leftover for one or two of the smaller drawers like this one:

    IMG_3057.jpg

Still have a long way to go.

Wait until you see TE Videos on YouTube or ig. He's got even more socket organization.

    Do you have impact sockets?

    Thanks man.

    I have metric impact sockets.

I decided to hold off on the cutouts for the screwdrivers for now. I opted to only keep the Milwaukee set in that drawer as a nicer set. I wanted to get a Milwaukee stubby screwdriver set but apparently they are not available in the US but they are available to ship from overseas. There is a 10-14 shipping period and a set costs $50+ with shipping. Went with a tekton set from Amazon that'll be here Saturday for $15 that are red and will do the job.

I am also getting a matching metric offset wrench set and SAE and metric ratcheting stubby wrench sets.

Once everything arrives and fits, then I will cut out the drawer. Been taking breaks just to stare at that top drawer, though :anonymous:

If you plan on ordering more from Tekton, i suggest you order directly. They have a cash back program that doesn't expire. I have $10 sitting in there from my 3/8" short and deep sockets, that I plan to use this year (and Ive been saying that for 2 years lol)

they send you an email monthly with the balance. They are also made in the US and almost as good shipping as Amazon.

Got this drawer figured out, just need the remaining tools to show up:

    IMG_3088.jpg

I got more of the wrench organizer pieces delivered today. Helps that the company for the wrench organizers are located in the state I reside in.

Got the next two drawers figured out, kinda. Have to come up with a better flow but getting everything into the same drawer is the first step.

These will not be in foam.

    Cutting and drilling:

    IMG_3093.jpg

Have to add my tap and die set and my main drill bit set still.

    Measurement drawer (hammers are temporary):

Got a set of machinist squares (upper left in blue cases). Need to add my tape measures but I need to move the hammers into their own drawer.

The bigger/deeper drawers at the bottom are kind of a mess right now and will be until I can come up with something for storing my cordless tools.

I'm working on a way to get all my clamps stored in the same location in the garage and out of the toolbox, too.

    Work in progress....
