Even 6600 is sus because you can't see that in any of the odometers. But so it sounds like the LCE "Street Performer" may be these?

    upload_2025-6-9_11-49-24.png

I can't drive my turbos to 8k RPM anyway without dropping PSI to basically below current spring pressure, so a more aggressive cam is actually more exciting to me

The one we pulled the crank from in the junkyard has this cluster at least. I think the issue is looking up this model Camry defaults to the 4cyl models

Any of you guys dealt with a malfunctioning internal MAP sensor? Vacuum hoses are good. The internal MAP will read around zero inHg on the gauge at idle, while the boost gauge reads ~18inHg.

This is on an Elite 2500.

Nope haven't seen that yet, how's the 5v diagnostic voltage reading? If the internal map is malfunctioning I know Haltech can change it out

I will double check the 5v and report back tomorrow.

Passenger cam phaser not operating properly. Intermittent function. Going to check wiring for issues and possibly swap to a spare on the ecu for controlling the OCV. We'll see on Friday.

Tested the hose. Replaced just because I had extra. No significant change.

    Time for a Nexus

Jk, hope they stand behind it if it's really an internal issue. I've always preferred separating failure points, not combining them all into one unit.. Always seemed weird that ECUs will include a Map sensor but not an O2 controller, as if you need one but not the other

Lol. No need for the Nexus at this point. New wiring in this aging vehicle is starting to look necessary for some of these engine components though.

Thankfully you can still wire in an external MAP (which is recommended for some vehicles anyway due to runner design or desired manifold pressure). But yeah I think the general consensus was the integrating a wideband controller was the next big move that's why all the new Nexus ECUs have at least one Wideband O2 channel built in now. But historically, like before the Elite series and with other brands, O2 feedback was always a separate device, and many folks already had a wideband gauge with an output for the ECU. But now those are so much less reliable than a CAN controlled unit, so it's time to integrate at least one, maybe two dedicated Widebands IMO.

I would think this is a vehicle issue not a ECU issue just because the phaser control is just ground side PWM on a DPO, super simple to control. One thing to consider about your MAP issue is that the ECUs have a little hose internally from the stainless nipple on the exterior to the actual pressure transducer on the circuit board, it could have maybe started to collapse too I suppose.

This I did not know, and may be the culprit. I could move/tap the unit and it would sometimes change the MAP reading.

Just a little thought experiment: cruise control using only the pedals. I'm not sure there are enough generics or timers on the HT yet to try it

Alright, so this was weird. With the laptop connected, but engine off and key on, I watched the MAP slowly drift across the screen, from roughly 23inHg, to ~1 psi. Then, engine still off, I pressed the accelerator pedal a few times. The psi raised to roughly 7psi. Started the engine, and sure enough the MAP reading was still around 7psi while at idle. Thus adding a lot of fuel, while at idle. My turbo isn't that small. Lol. Turned the key to off, then back to ON, and watched the MAP raise again to around 1psi.

Ohm'd out the driver and passenger OCV wires. Good.
Swapped the passenger vvt cam wire from Stepper P1, to the unused Stepper P3, and reassigned. No passenger cam phasing change to match the target. Basically is stayed at 0 degrees.
