If you have the start/stop feature that shuts off the engine every time you stop at a light, then restarts when you move, you can turn it off, but it's back after you shut off the engine and restart later. These devices turn that feature off until you turn it back on.

What do you find cryptic? I'm letting people know if they want the stop/start disable device it is back in stock. Since it was out of stock for a long time, some may have given up checking. But they are back in stock now which is why I mentioned it. As I stated only 2 wheel drive trucks have the start/ stop system so since you have a four wheel drive, you do not have the start/stop system so the disabling device would be a waste of money for you to buy. So if I were you, I wouldn't.

Thanks for the clarification. All I was looking for...

Seems simple enough to just not mash the living shit out of your brake pedal when you come to a stop & the start / stop feature wont shut down the vehicle...
My truck has the feature but it never shuts the engine off by doing as I suggested...
Seems smarter than paying $100 for something you can actually control....

Yes I'm well aware of that feature as I have mentioned it in the past. But we can't all be as smart and talented as you. In fact I'm certain none of us are as smart and talented as you.

I'm also certain where you live you have drivers and traffic lights that cater to your every desire due to their awe of being allowed in your presence. Unfortunately where we common dumb folks live, sometimes the light turns at an inconvenient moment causing us to brake harder than intended, thus activating the S/S system and sometimes people cut in front of us when we were about to make a light but then cannot and must brake harder. In our real World there are all sorts of other circumstances that could initiate the S/S.

So, some of us have decided to alleviate the necessity and aggravation of remembering to look down, find the button and push it every time we start the truck. True it does not sound like a big thing but I can normally start my truck ten times a day. At about five or six seconds to go through the process each time that means a minute of my time per day. Assuming I drive my truck 8 out of 10 days and assuming I keep the truck for ten years that adds up to wasting just under fifty hours of my life pushing a button like a conditioned version of Pavlov's dog, a button that shouldn't be there in the first place. So, $100 and one minute to allow me to completely forget that S/S even exists is well worth it to me.

Writing this post was another waste of my time. But since I normally have you blocked and once in a great while I unblock just to see what words of wisdom you tried to impart I decided some entertainment was in order. Not for you, but for me.:D
