This is about a 4th gen but I suspect would be the same with other gens.

My rear backup camera (OEM) in the tailgate suddenly has a distorted view. The center of the view looks fine, but the surrounding area seems to give a tunnel vision. This just started and the truck is less than a year old.

Searching around I only saw where folks said to clean the camera and make sure it is mounted securely, both are okay. Any thoughts on what would cause tunnel vision or has anyone else dealt with this issue before?

Could you post a screenshot so we can compare. I think you mean there is a blacked out portion of the screen, but your audience needs to be shown the malfunction.

I'm curious for pictures as well, as all the cameras "fish eye" by their very nature. Your front, rear, sides, etc. on the 360 view you'll only see it slightly at the very top/bottom b/c the software is stitch overlapping them. But have it display any single camera and there is curvature as you approach the boundaries.

Here is what I am seeing. The tunnel vision appearance started about a week ago.

    Thoughts?

Didn't tap any icons that I am aware of.

Not sure what is up but something changed in the last week and yea the permitter became a lot more fish bowled.

Think I will stop by Toyota and compare it to another truck.

Tap the icon at the lower left and see if it doesn't change the zoom

I have the 2024 Off-Road with the large screen. When test drove the vehicle and reverse it at the dealership the screen looked like on this post. When I drove the vehicle home and reverse it at the parking lot the screen looks different. I like the split screen look when in reverse. How do I go back the split screen with the view from above.

I have "Auto" deselected. On the bottom left of the screen you see I have a certain view selected as indicated by a blue dot. Try that.

Display button C should toggle between the two.
