Yeah they're doing it right. Top of the list for my next laptop. (Plus they have matte screens)

On one side I'm like eh, I don't care for the soldered setup but realistically, how often are you swapping CPUs on a motherboard anyway?

Would the laptop just be for personal use or for work?

i had the same. the ergonomics and aesthetics were both peak

 

I had the original Xbox controller and gave that shit away the moment I got an S controller

I use an Xbox Elite for my PC for when we play Halo, or GTA5 and stuff, but nothing comes close to that S controller (and never will)

 

My elite has stick drift and now i dont like using it. I should figure out how to fix it. Even has a modded setting to make the right trigger turns into a Glock switch

 

Work stuff I still use macs because its just easier for design work and I have licenses for all the software I've been using forever etc. (That feels like its changing a little bit these days, but we'll see)

Everything else though I've been using Thinkpads with Linux. So a Framework would be great.
I wouldn't be bothered about swapping CPUs either, just run it as is. I doubt I'd tax it. I don't game or do anything super intensive.

Only complaint I've got is the rubber is pulled away on the left corner but that's it. Man that sucks to hear, the Elite controllers aren't cheap

 

You're more crowded than I am now haha.
I cleared the back of my commercial space out and its all bike stuff right now. Like 4 frames and loads of components and tools. I went overboard.

 

I need to throw Linux on one of my oldies - the garage PC is on Ubuntu

I get that. Ive distro hopped so much, but I've been running Kubuntu on some home machines the last few years and its just been great. I'm sure its not everyones favorite but I can't complain.

 

Never tried Kubuntu, it's always been between Fedora or Ubuntu

I did game for a bit on Fedora but Nvidia don't play as well as AMD does

 

I also have 8 controllers and only like 3 good ones lol. Some are old xbox one controllers though. Then like 3 series x ones and the elite

 

Every time i bought a new console i get 4 controllers so everyone can play even though i never have friends over to play

 

Wellll you do have kids

I'm sure some of those controllers have seen better days

 

Shit I miss those days

LAN parties or even just 4V4 at home on Xbox
