Truck in question: 2023 TRD OR with 265/70/16 tires on stock wheels presently

I found some tires I want to get for my 17" T4R wheels but don't have a FIFTH version of the wheel.

Does anyone have 265/70/17 tires while having a 265/75/16 spare? They are damn close in overall diameter, and I'm just thinking in terms of in a pinch if I need the spare I don't want the sizes TOO different so as to muck anything up.

    Appreciate the feedback, thanks.

    It's fine.

Tire calculator shows what you seem to know already re dia closeness

    I run a 235 75 15 on ground and 215 75 15 spare

I'm more concerned about the spare rotting before needing it :anonymous:

Those tires are essentially identical, that would be a perfect match for a spare. Just like how stock Sport from 2020 and on gives you a 265/70R16 even though the stock tire size is 265/65R17. They are equivalent.

Beyond that, you don’t even need them to be that close. You could easily run an inch or two difference in diameter and the diff will make up for it.
