I have been using a neck gaiter for years. A must have piece of gear. Quick dry for summer (can wet it) and Freeze Out for winter.
    See the Fortnine Vid above.

just a couple of things tbh
ya! i tried all the ones they had up there and just hated them! either to small or waaaay to large! i will say the lock mount is kiiinda finicky.. but not bad! thanks btw!

honestly! he was a bit overkill but hey that works in my favor haha! i was about to do an oil change until i found the book and saw when he did oil no reason to do it if he just did it a few hundred miles ago!
im wondering that as well? i did read some people having issues with that but im also one to just use my hand to figure things out tbh... only time ive used a torque wrench is on something internal on a motor tbh...

oh ya i got a question!

does anyone have an idea where i could get some foam that has a sticky back to it where i can stick it to the top box? emily was saying leaning against the top box puts her at an odd angle and she would like it to push her a bit more forward so gonna look around for a chunk of foam that i can cut to size and stick onto the top section of the box as a back rest in a sense.

also going to get those padded pants you were talking about @BkerChuck lol the seats are way better on the tracer but after awhile it still wears on you.

i also gotta play with the suspension settings and see how i can get it set better for two up.

Not sticky but a kneeling pad from HD would be a great start

I use a toque wrench on axle nuts, brake calipers and rotors, that sort of thing. Drain plugs and stuff like that I don't.

Does her jacket have a back pad in it? If not get one of those and slip it in the jacket. My g/f just brings a small towel and uses it for a backrest pad sometimes. Comes in handy for wiping off the dew in the morning as well.

ive always just done it by hand feel tbh. now when i did my caliper and sprockets on my sm i did use the torque wrench for that.

she doesnt have a jacket. she uses my old crappy icon jacket or just wears a hoodie. we dont have much for gear tbh anytime we got extra cash for stuff other things come up.

im also one who likes to enjoy my ride and not sweat the entire ride :anonymous:

Amazon search “top box pad” or “top box cushion” tons of sub $30 options come up. I have them for my f800’s top box.

I'd rather sweat than bleed.....Mesh jackets are surprisingly good. I got my first one several years ago after a friend left me try theirs after work. I was honestly pretty amazed. Obviously when stopped like at a traffic light with no air movement they still suck but once moving provided the air temp is under about 90+ degrees they do a nice job. I've even gone so far as to soak my shirt underneath with a water bottle and that works well.

I understand stuff coming up. It's taken me a long time to get to where I am now.

That setup costs as much as the van! :p

I live in an HOA with a "no RV" rule so I don't want people to think I'm living in it by putting an AC unit on top. If I had to I'd just run the engine between sessions to get some AC. Not very efficient but it would only be for a few minutes at a time.

I went up north for a couple days mid week to do some trail riding. Awesome. I'd week when few people are there.
    By the rifle river.

Overall it was a fun trip. Bike was great on most of the hard pack trails and rocks, absolutely sucked in the sand! I couldn't hold a line to save my life. Almost dropped it countess times. It surprised me how poorly it did in the sand. I think most of it was the front tire.

just a couple of things tbh
ya ive been looking at them but havent found anything that can show up within the time frame.
ya ive looked at them on revzilla but they wont show up in time for the weekend lol. yaaa i could have planned for this but ya knoooow i didnt lol whoops!
i have a mesh jacket at the house its that white and green icon jacket i use to wear and i haaated that thing... didnt matter if i was moving or not it was way to hot way to bulky and not comfortable to wear in the slightest. plus it started falling apart thanks icon...
if its hot out i normally just wanna wear my jeans and a t shirt since im comfortable.. i use to have a set of kevlar jeans but i cant find them anymore... i lost them somewhere and i have zero clue where! just never replaced them.

i have soaked a shirt before but that was just out putsing around with friends and it was crazy hot. on my way to work i dont wanna sweat or be miserable so i just wear what is comfy to me. i did find a jacket at cycle gear that i liked but i feel it would still be to heavy of a jacket for summer time ridding here and i will prob die from heat stroke lmao (fyi had it once not fun!)

    its always something tbh...

It's not cheap, but look into the Marrakesh jacket from Klim. It's a bit bulky, but it breathes ridiculously well. I'm fat and I get hot really easy, but I've not felt overheated in it when I go riding unless it's just hot outside. I'd feel hot in a T as well.

Also, it's counterintuitive, but wearing long sleeves will keep you cooler by being a barrier against the sun.

ya ive looked into them and worn my buddys klim to try it out and it was nice for how much it breathes but it still felt bulky where i feel i cant move like i want to... thats my big issue with ridding jackets.

ya ive noticed that so i usually will have something to cover my arms its a shirt or a sleeve thing

Yeah, you have to give up a little comfort for the protection, but the Marrakesh is no worse than a Carhartt IMO. Knowing that it'll help save my shoulders and elbows, and hopefully some skin, if I ever go down is worth the minor bulk for me.

Then again, I'm fat, so I'm bulky as is. LOL

I went without a jacket one time during the summer and it felt like I was riding around naked. I dont ride without at least a helmet, gloves and jacket.
