Helmet and gloves. 100% of the time since at least 2015 i was not wearing a jacket during summer. Fall would be a hoodie.

Same. Can't find boots that I like or if I do like them they don't fit.

    Shit, I wish I was 200... :anonymous:

I like really wanted some Tech 7s but they cant get around my calves. Even when I was thinner my calves are large. I don't have chicken legs.

Yeah, that's the rub. You'll just have to get over the aversion to "bulky" if you want the protection. Nothing is ever going to fit like a shirt and also protect you. I bet if you got a good mesh jacket and rode with it for a month you'd forget about the bulk.

My wife found the every other day diet. I lost around 50 pounds on it (peaked around 205 before trying keto and some other stuff that failed), have only gained about 10 pounds back and have been steady now for nearly 5 years (currently 146). Gist of it is eat 25% of your calculated caloric needs one day, then the next you just eat whatever you want. On average you stay below 100% of your needs and lose weight. Proven to lose less muscle mass than a straight up caloric deficit every day. First two weeks of it sucked, but after that my body adjusted and got used to it. Used to get all shaky after not eating, but not anymore. 4 people I work with tried it, 2 lost good amount of weight, 2 didn't make it past a week, lol. If anyone is interested in more info, I've got an email somewhere that I've shared with multiple people over the years.

I think this is the first time I've seen this style actually look good on a bike! Really shows how something looks bad on one can look great on another. Nice find.

I will note, I have never been able to keep a phone in a pocket like that. Every time it's above like 60 degrees they overheat my or my wife's phones. Acting like a greenhouse or something.

Anything waterproof is going to be hotter than not.
I might try that. ~205 now and used to be 180 lbs before i met the wife and had kids (so 8 years ago). But i worked out 5 days a week fairly intense and ate chicken/veggies/rice 2 times a day 5 days a week. Burned myself out on that anymore

    And one more post...

Buddy wanted GPS/carplay on his bike so he was showing off the 3d print he made to hold his new $60 carpuride knockoff on his Versys 650.

    upload_2025-6-12_8-24-28.jpg

I'm waiting on a review of this thing, but he's liked it so far. I think it was actually 65 + tax, but still cheap. 5.5 inch model.

    upload_2025-6-12_8-25-17.jpg

I showed him I felt pretty lucky how well my OEM little GPS bar worked with my phone + Quadlock mirror mount. Could be bigger, sure, but I think it looks pretty great how well it lines up with the dash.

Yes, pull on and off quickly but usually everything stays on old school. You never know when you might need to put a case of beer in the saddle bag with a bag of ice.

I did this once, and my arm hairs were hypersensitive from blowing around in the wind. that was a weird sensation.

I agree!! I would rather sweat than bleed also. Yes I have bleed before that is why I know. You do not I repeat you do not want road rash. The road takes skin off so fast. The worst part is getting all the rocks and dirt scrubbed out at the hospital.

Just like riding a bigger, heavier bike you'll be surprised how much of that bulk disappears once you're actually riding. Some of my stuff weighs a ton when I first put it on but that goes away once seated on the bike and moving.
