What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Well.. for one of the first times ever I have uninstalled a mod. I just couldn't handle the noise from those hangers on my DD. I never realized I spent so much time at low RPM until I threw those on. Reinstalled the stock hangers last night and all my noise went away. On this application the urethane hangers look great but absolutely do not sound great.

 

Interesting. You'd think it would be quieter.

 

In about one hour, installed the drivers side front Dorman Body Mount. I'll need to test it out later today.

 

Just sucks!!!

Got my VTAILS. This the first mod everyone should do. Toyota should have done it this way from the start.

Taillight LEDs was my first mod, too. But I used a different brand. No hyperflash! Oh wait, when the headlights were on, I got hyperflash. Weird, so I had to add resistors.

 

Resistors came with the kit. I installed them right away. I had no issues at all.

 

My daughter got me one! Haven’t done anything with it. I use the plug for charging and a seat heater.
I’m old and my 18 doesn’t have arse heaters.

 

Been installing a MITs Alloy Tray & Canopy - nearly done, but having issues with the tail lights. Driver side tail lights receiving no power at all..

 

According to our resident @caribe makaira (as best I recall his statements) the electrical system is balanced for distribution of the power using OEM components. Add or remove from one of the branches and the rest *can* (no guarantee) get a little wonky at unpredictable segments.

 

Yup!! Quiet. So quiet in fact that I think I heard another squeak from the rear, so I'm guessing that chances are low that only ONE body mount needed replacement. I'll be looking into that this weekend.

 

Did the same about a month ago, got the 15% military discount.

 

After seeing this you have me planning a body mount inspection to see if the sqeaks I'm hearing in the cab are me or the 2017 Taco.

 

2017, I'm confident you need. I will say not sure if it is possible to really know if the mounts need replacing without a removal. I will also add, after replacing my noisy mount I really noticed the quiet.

This is something I didn't need with my Gen 1 which was lower.

Very happy with this add on. Makes getting onto the bed much easier for me.
