Boss gives me a little SD memory card every week to update with photos of his grandkid, spent an embarrassingly long amount of time this morning trying to figure out why I couldn't put roughly ~50 small jpegs on this card with what I thought had 32 gigs of free space. Turns out it was a 32mb card. What the hell do you use a 32mb SD card for. Even back in the early/mid 00s I think the smallest CF card I had was 250mb.

I remember getting starter CF cards with cameras that were like 8 or 16 mb. Just enough to take a couple of pictures and know the thing actually works.

I've gotten a tad spoiled by the fact that I can nest by bringing in a ton of DXF at will.

A click of a button and done.

    20250613_110115.jpg

I got lazy and didn't even piece them together even closer - the default values are more than good enough

The Langmuir cut really well, but I never trusted it enough to be able to walk away. Whether it was a piece of crud blowing up onto the IHS sensor, the parallel slats allowing for a tip up (and no magnetic break away) and parts that can come loose over time or strip easily (couplers and lead nuts). There were too many "what ifs".

It's a huge relief cutting a ton of parts on the STV.

    20250613_105444.jpg

Cut a bunch of shit out and about to take a break before cutting more.

Just two 4' x 2' sheets of 3/16" along with the remainder of 1/8" I had on the table.

The only issue (big one sort of) is that I updated my software as my long awaited pierce counter was finally implemented. I had an issue with it not working only to be told to also update my "profile".

    Sure, cool.

The issue? Well the cut chart settings I had saved for 11 gauge were suddenly completely different, so I had to go through all my notes and see what was it that worked well and ran @unstpible parts as best as I could.

Unfortunately there's some beveling on some of the long edges but seeing as how they'll get welded anyway, it's a non-issue.

I'll have to call up on Monday and see if there's a way to export my personally created cut charts so that I can replace them if this ever happens again with an update.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a Super Soaker 50 coming my way as well :anonymous:

This is what I originally had as a kid so I said fuck it.

    s-l1200.jpg

Not to be confused with the re-release in 2009. The re-release has a thinner tank, different trigger, and isn't as reliable apparently. That and a lot of people "rebuild" the old models so it's easy to keep them in service for a long time.

But what is this mod you speak of...

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I feel like I would be really shocked if these things didn't have an overpressure release somewhere. But at the same time he has an old one so maybe that was before they were safety minded enough to do that
