Chris, it is a fact... the hood scoop is FAKE, and anything on the hood hinders some visibility. If it doesn't do anything, why is it there...? Of course, so the Sport owners think they have a V-8 or a race truck, perhaps.

The Tacoma is GOOD without it pretending to be someting it is not!

People tell me what I have posted here HELPS them understand their truck better...

It doesn't need to be personal... it needs to be about Toyota.

Maybe nobody cares, I sure don't... Don't let things like information bother you... plenty of people read this site for the information many of us try and provide...

I never thought the Sport had a V8 or was a race truck when I bought mine , perhaps I was misinformed by the salesman .

It doesnt matter if its fake or not. How much vision does it eat up?? About an inch? And if someone likes it, then leave it alone. If the little bit of vision that the hood scoop "blocks" prevents you from performing a certain way off road, then you need to learn how to off road better.

Indeed. And becarefull of the hood scoop. It may block your vision, and possibly lead to an accident with another vehicle. God only knows what kinda shit can hide in its blind spot....

No, I have Canadian friends... and it is handy since they speak almost the same language as me!

To me, 'hoser' means 'goofball' or something like that, that is not negative or an insult. What does hoser mean to you?

Hey I gotta ask .. why's this thread still open? Seems like some awfully nice informative people are getting really angry and personal now, and everybody's off topic anyway. ALL you guys have taught me a lot. So... "Can't we all just get along?" -- Reverend Rodney King

Yes, the buyer should know... but they often don't. The salesman is PAID to let you know.

I don't have an attitude towards YOU. In fact, it is YOU who continually jump into threads AFTER me and start your bashing.

To YOU, a Sport is worthless.. because to YOU, a Sport needs lockers added on... and not even Toyota lockers. I have NEVER said anything about sun glare, that is someone else who doesn't like his scoop. I commented on the visibity issue because I drove a Sport and after 5 years driving an '01, the scoop was really noticable in my field of vision. Maybe because I am not tall, or maybe because I like technical off roading where a camera mounted in the front of the grille would be great.

Try and enjoy you Tacoma with the add ons, and I will enjoy mine totally stock! PEACE!

You should probably remove your hood, fenders, doors, bedsides and cut off the top part of your truck so you can get the best visibilty. All you really need is the frame and powertrain.
