Wisconsin area events- TODAY: Petrifying Springs Biergarten

The only reason they let you come along with them is because they want someone with a working vehicle after they all break down.

 

Good morning, guys. The smoke has rolled in and the view has become really hazy. The glacier is just across the pond and we have been fortunate to watch it calf into the water. The white ice in the pic was not visible when we pulled into camp 2 days ago.


We start for home today. Have to be in Jasper Natl Park by the 17th then Calgary on the 18th for a spa day that Brad can use his airline points to burn up.

Amazing day. Learned a lot about scouting a new trail and building to take advantage of natural drainage and longevity. Great group-GIRLS with jeeps too! 14 rigs. Tomorrow we run the trails we built today. Some very challenging routs! Camped on top of the ski area with an amazing view

Oh, I noticed.

I just didn't want to be next to get a 30 day vacay.

 

Speaking of cutting paths, I need to get back out and walk the tight and scratchy over to muskrat creek.

 

It seems every group has a Jason. Trees are such a PIA

 

So far the Ute is the only rig that has not winched

 

Got seriously thwarted on a gate keeper. Too long. Jeeps cheat!

 

I got hung up by that rock, behind his back tire, and needed a traction board to backup.

Dean needed a little nudge out of a mud pit.


My son had a blast. Taking pictures and running around. Gets a little restless when we're hanging around in recovery mode or checking out the trail ahead. He certainly isn't shy, had to check out the campers. Thanks to everyone for your patience.

He wants to go back in August, so we'll see....

Edit: This is what he chose to do when we got home, so I think it's a good indication he had fun.
