i know it's a big cool project that looks really nicely done, but honestly, all i see is all the irritating battery changes all those locks are going to take.

I believe we make the majority of our day ourselves.

If you get out of bed and think "I'm going to have a bad day today" the odds are you will.

On the other hand if you think "I'm going to try to have a good day today" maybe you will.

Finally, in most cases remember somebody somewhere has it worse.

We all have been there. :fistbump:

I built my first small trailer years ago, wanted it to be good & strong.:benchpress:

    Never thought about weight...

It weighed 970 pounds empty. :anonymous:

My mower trailer weighs 990 pounds and has a load capacity of 2000 keeping it under the electric brake requirement, it has a 5 x 12 bed and ramp/gate.

The one I (over) built started out as a boat trailer with 12" wheels. I added 4x4 cross members and 5/4 decking. It was about 6 x 9 IIRC, I was pulling it with a compact car. It did a lot of work for me back in the day.

Good morning everyone , I hope you have a pleasant Sunday :hattip:

I few years ago we jumped at the chance to buy a small 2 BR ranch on 3/4 of an acre a couple of houses over.

Time to move on, put it on the market Thursday, had a few showings yesterday and got a cash offer for our asking price :woot:

A few more showings today  Let’s see how crazy this market is :goingcrazy:

Yeah, so it rained lightly for a half an hour at 9:00 am, then cleared to a beautiful day with a high around 75.

I’m thinking this whole tracking the rainy Saturdays is yet another example of media bs..

I have always taught my kids this and not to forget them. Give to the church poor box. See someone paying in change, offer to pay for it, or just give them some dollars. Panhandler? No cash, but offer to buy them lunch, or give them water, snacks you have on hand ( I always carry bottled water, jerky, peanuts, and other stuff, dog treats (they sometimes have dogs)), they’re human too.

Do you believe the nerve of people...

I find this miter saw on the side of the road with a "FREE" sign. Take it to the garage and it works fine, guards in place, cord good, everything. Apparently it didn't sell at the yard sale. :notsure:

Then I discover the blade is shot -- a trip to HF & $27 for a working saw.

You would think the guy could have put a new blade on there before putting it out for free..;);)

I know, "free" is supposed to be free, not spend $27... :annoyed:

In my area, larger woodworking tools are difficult to move at anything above free. Just walked through the 4th day of an estate sale where they had $5 on an arm saw with stand.

For the most part, a new chop saw is $200. Anyone that has a need for one can afford the $200, and already has one, they're not waiting for yard sales to provide.

    Hopefully it goes well!

All reports so far is that there's about 1/4-2/3's more sellers than buyers currently.

My extended street(about 2 miles within a subdivision) has at least 3 houses that have had for sale signs going on 2-3 months. Which is crazy that the same house 2 years ago would sell within 24 hours above asking.

The market conditions just aren't all that favorable right now.

Three and a half weeks ago I stuck 4 maple "helicopters" into a pot.

    20250522_174106.jpg

    20250522_174441.jpg

I didn't think they'd actually start growing, never mind all 4 of them.

    20250615_093727.jpg

One of them has some wilting on the leaves so we'll see if it makes it.

Wonder how soon I should replant them into a larger pot?
