I’ve read complaints about the holes not lining up, and the fasteners being not awesome…how was your experience with the ark guard?

Driver's side there was some slight misalignments. I used my dremel to widen out some holes. Fasteners are subpar but they do send extra fasteners so I guess that makes up for it? I haven't test drove it yet, but Im thinking there may be some slight rubbing on the microflares going on inclines but I can trim it accordingly. All in all, I don't regret the purchase.

I just installed them on my 4runner with zero problems but on the inside hole I did use a slightly smaller plastic rivet from a set like this

Curious to know if you have a recommended shop in the Bay (PM works) knowing I have some SPC in my case I would like to mount.

Replaced all for brakes with new hardware, SPC ball joints, lower ball joints, axles, wheel hub bearings and other front suspension wear and tear stuff that haven’t been replaced since buying the truck in 2009.
It was supposed to be just the dang brakes and SPC upper control arms ball joints but it all went down hill once we started inspecting stuff when we got it on the lift…lol
Honestly I was hoping to resolve this intermittent odd creeking noise in the right suspension when hitting bumps . But nope. Need to investigate that more.

    Old man and I today:
Replaced all the spark plugs…I doubt they’d ever been done
    Cleaned the mass air sensor
Cleaned the throttle body… clearly had never been cleaned before.
    Repainted the wiper arms.
    removed the old bedsides.

installed the new fibreglass sides…but I haven’t fully bolted it all in as I couldn’t get the bed loose. Will have another attack at it tomorrow. Also learnt the fuel hose isn’t long enough.. so I’ll need to think up a strategy. It’s booked in to get resprayed from Saturday.
