Down here it’s the stupid home insurance and flood insurance. They rollercoaster and combine that with interest rates doing the same… you might as well play roulette. If you finance, they gonna want both insurances and well funded… so the only players are cash heavy.

Lots has to do with the lender/bank. If people want to move they really dont care about interest rate per se. They want to move they will.

Some vehicles have a sleeve you feed the bolt down part through that makes it stiff as well. Can’t recall which ones, but backseat/middle seat.

Well, you do care about what you can afford and what the bank is willing to loan. God help you if your credit is sub 650.

Yea, folks really don’t have the opportunities my generation had. I put down 35% and bought a point, despite my less than stellar credit (I worked cash, no credit… hits were bullshit medical collections for difference between co-pay, insurance payments and what they wanted to overbill) and wife’s screwed history (unpaid beauty school dropout loans, closed credit accounts, etc. that were all completed via consumer credit counseling).

I spent most of today out in the garage working on a long overdue cleaning and I'm still not done but was tired and hungry so I called it a day.

    Started sorting things into piles:
    • Garbage
    • Chemicals that need to be disposed of
    • Stuff the niece left behind when she moved out
    • Donate/sell
    • Keep and stays in the garage
    • Keep but doesn't stay in the garage.
    20250615_164253.jpg

And sweeping up the dog hair. For as little time as the dogs are out there, I have no idea where it all came from. But there was a lot of it. And every time I moved something, there was more. Maybe I do need a garage Roomba.

The garage door spring got lubricated and the chain tightened. Then my wife said that she needed a new windshield wiper, so when I thought I was done, I still had to make a Walmart run as it's supposed to rain tomorrow. Hopefully I sleep good tonight.

On the plus side, my wife and I took Tuesday through Friday off and have a few loose plans. We'll see what pans out.

She tried calling about getting tickets to Grease at a dinner theater in Minneapolis but they're sold out except for the directors seats but that didn't include the meals. They told her to call back tomorrow to see if anyone canceled.

Regardless, we'll probably head out stand-up paddle boarding once or twice.

There is a weekend trip to Red Rocks planned for the 4th of July.

Garbage is, well, in the garbage.
Chemicals are by the garbage (ignore the air compressor and jack stands)
Nieces stuff is to the right of the garbage.
    Donate/sell is near left
Keep in the garage is near right
Keep in the house is far right.
