Just an FYI, Looks like the fed is trying to sell off BLM and USFS land again, considering the recent scorched earth approach to fiscal matters I doubt it will benefit any of us. Selling federal land to lower debt is a very shortsighted approach to fiscal conservancy. Likely most of this will go to mining company's and wealthy landowners, it will not grow communities nor provide housing like the supporters mention nor will it have an appreciable impact on the deficit. On top of that there isn't the water to support growing communities, few want to live in the middle of the western desert and anyone that knows the west is aware of all this but it sounds good to the people that aren't familiar to our areas. You and I won't be able to access any of the land once it changes hands. If this is important to you contact your rep and let them know your views, I seriously doubt it will make a difference in the current admin though.

Someone mapped it, see below. I personally would lose (or lose access to) some special places that are currently mine and yours and everyone's--they would instead belong to some billionaire building a toy bug-out ranch or a housing developer or to big agribusiness or mining speculators.

Worth reading Bernard DeVoto's "The West Against Itself" from last time the thieves tried this in the 1940s for some inspiration--the good guys fought them off back then.
