Tried to add lights on the rear of my truck this weekend that I wanted connected through the 15 AMP Aux 1 switch circuit and it did not go all the well. I removed the cap from the aux plug and plugged the supplied harness. Powered up truck and flipped Aux 1 on. Aux switch indicator lit up but no power to harness. I checked the fuse and the fuse is good and also has power. I then connected the under hood harness and checked the 15 AMP aux 1 and it worked fine. I also checked the other aux 2 & 3 and they were also fine under the hood.

So looks like rear connector is dead.

    Am I missing something???

Did you install the “jumper” harness in the engine bay? There is a jumper harness supplied by Toyota that should have come with your truck that plugs into 2 plugs, which then powers the rear.

Nope. I have the jumper harness. I did not see anything about it being required to power the rear.

    Tks for the info!
