Working on building out the Homemade Goose Gear Bed system. Already did the base plate custom so now the build out starts, still awaiting my GFC which will tie everything together.

Still have a ton of work to do but it is coming together. Im going to have the side where the jack is on the driverside basic a tool area, so when I open the side door on the GFC ill have all my recovery gear and tools on that side of the rig.

Have a few other ideas but we are just managing.

Compared to the hitachi’s, have you noticed less of a rebound with the front suspension? I’m running 5100’s only in the rear with the hitachis up front. It rides like a Cadillac with a loaded bed, but I have noticed the hitachis are spongy as well.

One of the "multi-use sand product" bags I decided to keep in the truck bed in case I needed some extra weight for ice ... yeah ... needed more weight to do any good.

But still I never removed the bags ... until today. One of them burst completely across the bottom. Removed the bag and dropped the sand in the rock garden space of my rental house. Landscapers will have more sand to spread around next time ...

NO YOU INVASIVE LOUTS ... NO PICTURES! :p:D

    OMG!

Night & Day on the front suspension...2" up front with the TRD Lift and 1" Blocks on the rear leafs.

Overall, rides like the 2024 Tacoma Limited I drove for 100 miles.

I'm very happy with the improvement in height/ride suspension.

A touch under 80k. Had the truck since 45k and in those 35k, the stock Hitachis were toast with normal street driving with maybe 3 trips on the beach each summer for the last 2 years.

Picked up my Lone Peak Overland camper last week and finished my bed build out (for now). Kept it simple, storage boxes that hold the fridge, 100Ah lithium battery and electrical setup. Also double as benches for when its shitty out.

Ordered a set of Morimoto Evo Hybdrid headlights and Diode Dynamics OEM Style Fog Lights last night. Decided to get the Hybrid headlights over the more expensive EVO version since the added features were not a priority for me personally. Can't wait to receive and install them

Very happy with my hybrids. Just be sure to go into vehicle settings through the radio head unit and turn off DRLs or you will likely have hyperflash.

Leaning over towards your glove box when you get pulled over makes cops super nervous. Smart thing to do is sit upright with your hands on the wheel.

Finished building out my homemade Goose Gear platform in the bed until the GFC is on. Basically I left the rails open so I can build on to it. The tire will be moved once I decided what I want to weld up for my tire carrier. But I places Marine Foam everywhere I would be walking, and then used alittle extra to fill in the driver's side. The driverside will be completely tools accessible from the side door of the GFC. I have blueprint that out roughly but awaiting to the camper now. I place Marine Hydro Foam down everywhere id be walking in the camper.

I agree, and Placing a pistol near the right leg is very risky. Why risk getting shot by the cops.

I 100% agree, LEOs are gonna be looking for suspicious behavior and reaching over to your glove box will most likely make them think you are reaching for a gun, not putting it back...
Leave it, and put your hands on top of the wheel after rolling the window down how ever much, and before the officer can say too much, inform him ASAP of your weapon(s)... And follow his instructions!!!

Welpers, I finally installed my AVS In-Channel Rain Guards (smoke), The hardest part was removing the red backing off the 3M tape, I always have trouble getting those things off... Now I have to wait 72 hours before I can drive with the windows down any, keeping pressure on them, I am hoping they stick, the drivers front forward part wasn't holding very well before rolling up the window... Yes I followed instructions... lol

    The list is growing.
I was pulled over once. When the cop came up to the window both hands draped over the side view mirror. “What’s this “ he asked. “ firearm concealed “ I reply.
“any particular reason you’re carrying?” Me: shopping junkyards in new Britain”.
Cop: “ can’t say that I blame you.”
    “Have a good day.”
I used a red hose. Kinda stands out a bit under the wheel well
