I don't imagine it will be too long; when my Tacoma got nailed last year the damage was considerable, and the shop had it done in less than two weeks.

Had a good day at the range today. I try to go twice a month. One day I just target practice. The next time I train.Today was a training day. Training consists of shooting 2 handed, then one handed both left and right. Drawing from holster and shooting, drawing and double taps. Shooting while moving to my left and to my right . Shooting from kneeling position. And several other training exercises. Range days have become an enjoyable hobby. (And it keeps me prepared should a situation arise). I go through 700 to 1000+ rounds a month, mostly 9mm. Starting to get a little costly but when it comes to a man’s hobby, damn the costs. Besides the wife gets a break from me.
Here’s one of my targets. This one was at 20’, quick draw and fire, drawing and double taps and draw and rapid fire. Now I’m off to my shop to clean guns and listen to old rock and roll and country. Love being retired and having the time to pursue my hobbies

My father's day gift to myself.....
A friend at church knew I was looking for a cap for my f250. One popped up on Facebook market place. I was going to purchase the current model of this cap and it's $3200 bare bones. The guy was only asking $325, he just wanted it out of his garage. He was helping me take the tonneau cover off my truck and he mentioned he wanted to get one. I said how about a trade? My tonneau and some cash for your cap? He said cool how about the tonneau and $100? I said ill give you $150. I felt guilty and didn't want to take advantage of his generosity. What goes around comes around. So we agreed on the deal, and he helped me put it on my truck. We both got what we wanted.
This is an older model with a flat roof, they don't make it anymore but it's the one I wanted. White cap on a silver truck but I can live with it. I want to be able to set it up for camping but also be able to still use it as a truck. With a flat roof I can put solar panels up there.

I think you are correct. The estimate is just north $3,000 and it may be done by Friday.

I have been going to that shop for 50 yrs, I love them. I asked them to give me an estimate on rubbing out a couple scratches I got off roading awhile back. I said I would pay for that. They said the scratches were minor and they would rub them out, no charge.

So question, when an ecu gets changed. Does it matter that I lost xm radio?? I lost xm radio recently. I thought it was the radio not the computer.

Glad Carol was not hurt. Hope her hearing returnes quickly.

The problem might be as simple as the antenna cable is not plugged in. Does the head unit say No Signal when the Sirius XM function is selected?

Good morning. The garage wall is painted and the new shelving unit is installed. Today Is trimming back shrubs and weeding out front. Going to be cool out today with warming weather starting tomorrow.

Good morning all. Slow week so far at work but a short week for me. Have off Thursday and Friday for a nice. long weekend on the bike. Heading up into NY for a FJR forum meet up with about a dozen or so similarly minded friends.

@95SLE no. The xm app isn’t even on the touch screen to enable. It’s just like truck doesn’t have satellite at all.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/commisseraters. Thanks for the kind words regarding Carol's crash. Yes the drunk driver was in the Taco, a 2022 model year. The LF wheel and suspension was shoved back against the passenger compartment, and all kinds of airbags went off in the truck too, so I suspect it's a goner. I wouldn't want it back. Carol chose not to go to the hospital and we went to a walk-in clinic instead. I can't say I was too thrilled with the EMTs on scene; we asked for Carol to be examined by them and they left before seeing her! We pick up the new car today, :woot:

I had a few beers at the golf outing. But scattered between 18 holes. So getting home wasn’t a worry. But. As your wife and you know. The other guy is the one to worry about. Number one reason I don’t ride half as much as I should on my bike.

    Morning!

Coming up on 30 days since surgery and still not there yet. Slow progress.

Still clearing the shop. Sold a $2000 bicycle yesterday, so there is that space. Listing another bike today.

Van drop off for conversion Thursday AM. Wow that Transit drives nice. The wife is hooked to driving it.

Your FJR, Buell and that Honda 400-4....I have ridden examples of each of those bikes but never owned one of them. I think the Honda 400 is one of the most beautiful bikes ever made.

Thanks, I enjoy all of them though sometimes owning 4 bikes can be a PITA. Something always needs ridden, serviced, washed, or some combination of those. That little 400-4 is a fun reminder of what riding used to be like years ago. Fast enough to have some fun but not so fast you have to be afraid of really opening it up.

My brother had a 600. Dirt bike. I took it for a spin. Gooosed it on the ride back. Front wheel had no problem leaving the asphalt. Rode it for what seemed to be twenty yards. But that’s been it. Prolly would have had a few broken appendages had I got his or something else.
