I'm looking at upgrading from my stock wheels and tires on my 2020 off-road (with stock suspension) and need some major guidance. Currently sitting on 16" wheels, but I'm interested in going up to 17"s, in case I eventually do a little lift. Aesthetically, I like the all black look and style of the TRD Pro packages, but I'm not too picky. For Tires, I need them to be good with suburban and highway driving, but would work for occasional, pretty mild off-roading. I really like the aggressive look, but I'm mostly worried I'll run into rubbing and similar issues. I'm hoping to buy from Discount Tire for a few reasons, like convenience, price, warranty, etc. so if anyone has suggestions from there, that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

keep the 16s and run a 265/75/16 all terrain.

Why do you want to switch to a 17” wheel?

Any of the usual big brand all terrains are fine for on-road driving. I’ve been running LT285/75/16 Yokohama Geolandar AT4’s for a while now and I love them. I drive about 25K miles a year. 16” wheels look way better in my opinion but that’s just me.

I have the SCS 16x8” -12mm rims with Nitto 315x75r16 tires on my taco and I absolutely love it. It did require shaving off a portion of the front bumper to allow for full range of motion of the turning though.

    It looks sick.

I find the OEM black TRD Pro wheels from '20 on are very attractive and better looking than practically all other options - stay w/ the 16 - tire 265/75/r16 (nice fat sidewall - truck looking(!) - and you won't kill you mpg or your speedometer accuracy) as for tire Falkens are highly thought of but a the Rubitrek version is not well known like Wildpeaks. Got mine for great price - local tire guy recommend them over Wildpeaks for my driving a long way (highway) then gettin in the dirt from there (hunting) - they are simply just a tad more highway friendly yet still rugged looks. Check 'em out.
