3 year old post but i'm going through the same worries. Got gifted 17x9 -38 with 285/70r17 k02's and i'm trying to see if anyone has it. Very rare indeed. Mounting Wednesday, so we'll see how the shit show goes.

I would advise checking the SCS thread linked above.
I have 285/70r17 Nitto ridge grapplers on 17x9 -38 Ray 10s. It rubs.

For street driving I could (barely) make my way around town without the body mount chop. With the body mount chop and hammered pinch weld, I have enough clearance for mild off-roading. If you plan on stuffing the tires off-road fenders will need to be trimmed. This picture is before the LCA made contact with the stock bumpstops.IMG_7314.jpg I only have around 1.5 inches of lift so my LCA’s are able to be pushed as far forward as possible.

Oh and fender liner and bumper need to be trimmed as well. 15 min with a knife, drill, and zip ties can fix it.

Went for it. Cmc and some plastic cutting but nothing crazy.

Looks good! Great size tire. It dosen’t take much to make them work.
That’s the one good thing about the 4th Gen fitting 35s with minimal effort, more like the Jeep guys fitting 37s with not much work.

Same for me, I have -10 17x8.5 Rays, 285s. -10 is a little easier to fit, my tires are in the fenderwell when compressed

Is your spare on one of those hitch mounted swing outs? Got any more pics? I want one but I’m afraid it’ll look weird so far away from the body.

Yeah, it's a hitch mount swing-out. It does sit quite a bit back from the body, but I like it because there's room to stand on the rear bumper step. I'll see if I can find some more pics.

I still have two brushed copper Ray 10's for sale. -10 offset. $400 plus I have extra center caps. Best wheel ever, wish I could put them on my Titan.
