I’ll probably run with it. It’ll help clean up my garage and get my crap less spread out than it is. More room for camping stuff I reckon.

Blaine, WA back to Columbia. Brothers duramax is putting in work. 2,100 miles down already.
It was my dad’s jeep and he gave it to my son Max when he was in the hospital. After Max passed away, my dad wanted me to still bring it home for the other kids to enjoy. It’s too nice to wheel it.

Definitely keep it in the family forever. Get a cool vanity plate with your son’s name on it. Sure all of us can chime in some cool or crazy plate ideas.

I’ve never driven it, no idea how it handles on the road. The duramax has done really well pulling it though.

That’s pretty much what our 05 Land Cruiser is for too. Father in law gave it to his son down in Texas, got it back a few years later when he was done with it, gave it to us when he couldn’t drive it anymore and now we’ll take care of it until our niece or kids will be able to use it.

Yeah, the Duramax is a way more comfortable ride on the road. Bet it got a lot better fuel mileage as well!

First batch in the works now!

    IMG_5392.jpg

@colinb17 how thick is the material on the bottom. I want to drill a shallow recess and then glue in the small magnets flush or nearly flush. Is there enough material to do that without going through? The magnets are about 2.25mm thick.

I forget what this batch is, butnits only 1-2 mill thick, so you'd be punching a hole in the bottom.

Test it out to make sure it doesn't demagnetize it, but you could heat the magnet to about 200 degrees and then press it into the bottom and then just dab some superglue on the edges. Essentially a about 5-10 seconds dunking the magnet in boiling water should do it. That way you're forming g an indent in the bottom instead of drilling a hole.

Boiling water wouldn't do it but 20-30 seconds in front of the heat gun did the trick. Lost a couple to melt throughs but we got most of them done. It was hot enough to demagnetize them but nbd I just used the same one to melt the indent and glued in a fresh magnet.
