Sup guys, have read a handful of these pages but haven’t found the info I’m looking for.

    I have a 2018 OR 5ft bed with 4WP sliders (180lbs), Alucab Contour canopy (126lbs), 33in spare underneath (63lbs) , and a constant set of bins with supplies (30lbs).

I currently have the Eibach pro truck 1.0 shocks in front and rear. I know the rear can only accommodate 0-1.5” of lift in the rear. My question is if anyone has experience with similar loads or knows if with my set up, stage 1 will compress and settle enough to be at the 1.5” range?

(Edit) Or…. Just thinking this through after posting. If the weight I have will actually work with stage 2??? Since the canopy, spare, supplies, and sliders (assuming around 1/4 of each slider counts towards total load) would equal around 309lbs. Given it says stage 2 under 200lb load would net 1.75in lift, would 309lb load net closer to 1.5in???

Yeah def thought it through after posting and came to this conclusion. Appreciate the reply! You think my Eibachs would suffice for now since my rear weutht will probably end up netting lower that 1.75in of lift

I agree with @71tattooguy that you should probably jump straight to Option 2. As for shock length - Eibach rear shocks run longer with others with the same height recommendations. You'll be fine.

    next 2 questions..

    1. Started going down the rabbit hole of rear shocks and came across switching my rear shocks to the 5125, would those work for my setup even though my net lift would be closer to 1.75in instead of 2-3.5in? Or am I better off just using my Eibachs?

    2. Are extended brake lines needed/recommended here?

    Check build thread!
+ 1 on wondering if you need extended brake lines for 5125s.

Like @71tattooguy said it's good reassurance, extended break lines are a pretty minor upgrade to have confidence you aren't going to shred your break lines. I'm on option 3 and I haven't had the time to install mine yet. I've been ok offroad but I'm heavy and I've limited my trails because of it and its always on mind. You might as well do it. If the truck is only on pavement then I would say you could get away without it but you'll know pretty quick once installed.

As for shocks the Eibach is 24.09 (I think) and the 5125s are 24.38 seems like minimal gains to change if they don't need replacing.

Short answer here is that the Eibachs will be OK. The Bilstein 5125 is going to be a bit longer so you're going to capture some more travel, but you're not stroked out on the Eibach at rest so it's not the end of the world either way.

I always say to do your own droop test to confirm no matter what shock you put in there. However, our installs here have yielded the need for brake line extensions on pretty much all 5125 equipped Tacomas.

Thanks for the insight everyone. Thinking I’ll be fine on the Eibachs since with my current setup I have constant 300lbs and will be at 400lbs when I throw my RTT tent on.

Going to for now just get a set of leafs at option two and wheelers u bolt flip kit to pair with my Perry parts bumpstops.

Figure it’s best to replace front and rear shocks together anyway, so once I figure out what I want to do with the front I’ll upgrade both and do the extended brake lines.

Will post updates once everything’s on
