No pics of install as there are several posts and videos available. Install on a 2025 is very straightforward. I like that the drain tubes now has a reducer to fit through the factory drain hole so you don't have to drill it out.

I didn't like that you have to use a key to lock/unlock the cover. I have a key card, I don't carry keys. Keeping the key in the console and getting it out would have been inconvenient. Retrax makes an electric retractable model but then I'd have a fob to carry.

I ended up reinforcing the latch bracket and drilling it for a ball detent pin. The pin blocks the locking arm so you can't lift the latch. Now I lower the gate, pull the pin, lift the latch, and slide the tonneau. I can't unlock/slide the tonneau without opening the tailgate first but the new Tacoma with the higher/deeper bed and especially the taller Pro, makes loading over the side awkward anyway.

I wanted to get some side molle to store stuff, but the tonneau cannister is too close to the sides. I ended up getting the Toyota bed divider instead and I am happy with that. It allows me to load gear/packages near the tailgate and keep it in place. It slides back and forth allowing me to keep things where I want it. With the Retrax I did have to trim 1/4" off of each side to be able to easily remove it. You don't have to cut it to make it removable but you would have to loosen the rail T-slot brackets to get clearance.

I added molle pouches so now I can fit my recovery strap, ratchet straps, soft shackles, a 120v air pump, and some other stuff. The perfect solution for not having under seat storage room.

I have had mine for about 6 months and absolutely love it. I am so glad I spent the extra money over a cheap cover.

It's still 5' at the bottom...There's obviously a trade-off between security, looks, ease of use, and lost storage capacity. It gets me and my rescue gear up the mountain, carries my range gear securely, and fits my Home Depot project loads with no problems. If I need more room I borrow my buddy's trailer. I only did that about once a year with my previous access cab and 6' bed (that also lost a foot from the tonneau cover).

Sorry, kind of late to the party. Very nice setup. I was looking at doing the same thing with the cover/cargo divider. You mentioned that you had to trim 1/4", was that on the cargo divider? Can you take a picture of the modification you had to do? I was worried that the cover/divider might not fit together.

I trimmed about 1/4" off of the sides of the top bar. Everything would fit as is and you could slide the divider fore and aft. But if you wanted to lift the divider out, the side plates of the tonneau (which overhang the factory tie-down rail) would interfere. You could still install/remove the divider but you would have to loosen the divider brackets (that have the big knobs you use to slide the divider fore/aft) and play with the angle to get the divider out. this way I can just undo the two big divider knobs and lift it straight out or drop it straight in.

No leaks from the front or sides. Did have some water get in from the tailgate area before I added weatherstripping there, and that was mostly from washing when water was directed at that area at a more horizontal direction. I think I posted about it elsewhere.

What type of weatherstripping did you install, and in which area of the bed did you place it? I'm asking because I have the OEM bed cover, but I'm experiencing some leaks. I'm currently looking for a new cover that can solve this issue, since it rains here in Oregon for most of the year.

I used side bulb trim seal and edge trim I got off of Amazon for theses areas. I also used ESI Ultimate Tailgate Seal for the bottom and sides of the tailgate to keep dust out of the bed. The ESI kit had instructions for using the same weatherstripping for the top corners of the tailgate but it didn't work well so I came up with my own solution.
