I am buying new shocks for my 2010 dbl cab Taco, it is lifted 6in and I need new shocks for the rear, I need to know which size shocks will help give me a better ride in the rear so it doesnt bounce around as much. Any help with this will be much appreciated. Thanks

2" shocks will be fine. If you off Road much, and run fast the 2.5's would be better...

I always ride a half inch less in the back then the front so it levels out instead of slumping more forward

I am talking about the shock tube size not the actual lift in the rear

Thanks dude, now for another question, I dont have spacers in the rear, since I have leaf packs that are made for a 6in lift, will I need to have the shocks made longer so it will fit the 6in's of lift in the rear.

Also I still have my 6in spacer's in the front will I also need those extended as well. My end goal is to have a true suspension lift and take away the front spacer's. Thanks

Your not going to have a "True" 6" suspension lift, unless you go long travel, or SAC. You have a drop bracket lift, so you are going to have to find shocks that are suitable for the lift kit you have.

I was gonna get evan walker's shocks from all pro.

But will I be able to completly remove my spacers if the shocks can be extended?

    what is an SAC?

And what about the rear do I need to have those extended as well since I dont have spacers anymore?
    Thanks for the help dude.

The Walker Evans Co's are kinda on the low end. Better options are out there for not much (if any) more money. Yes, you will need to get teh rear shocks sized accordingly.

Rear shock, You'll need to get a shock specific to the length you need. You can't really get shocks lengthend, or if you can it would still be cheaper just to buy the right size.

As for 2" or 2.5", if your talking about the same shock in 2 different sizes, htye should be valved about the same, the 2.5 could very well be firmer though. Generally the 2.5 just has a bit more surface area and fluid to help dissipate heat and so the dampening won't fade out as quickly in hard/fast runs. The 2" will be plenty, still much beefier than the stock shocks.

As for the front, I'm just confused. 6" spacer? Are you sure it's not a drop-bracket style?

    Edit: what Chris said^

Your gonna need to determine the length shock you want. Measure flexed eye to eye for compressed and extended. Then call DSM or a local off-road shop and see what they suggest in regards to model and valving. King, Fox, and Bilstein all make smooth body shocks an various applications. Total Chaos makes an adapter to run a eyelet to a stem.

For you 6" lift, on DSM's page King has an option for a fabtech and procomp lifts (assuming thats the 6" stuff).

Ya I have a Pro Comp 6in lift, I guess I will have to go with Kings if I wanna getaway from those damn spacers, what about the rear? what type of shocks should I go with there? Thanks
