I just did all 4 corners of my shocks just this past weekend. Actually not too bad. About 1:15 each corner. Did the rears on friday, fronts on saturday with an alignment. I got the fronts pre-assembled so that saved me some time. I also did one corner at a time instead of both sides at the same time. So maybe you can shave some time off that way.

Having the right tools definitely helped me. [floor jack, jack stands, breaker bar, ratchet & sockets, ratcheting wrenches, 3/8" and 1/2" torque wrench, and about ~1 beer per corner]

How can you expect to over-torque things enough unless you on the second case by the third corner? :drunk:

Moved back into Tempe last weekend from Chandler, got a problem I’ve never encountered after living my entire life here in the Phoenix area… Scorpions

Only found 1 inside so far, but after that one I picked up a black light and checked the backyard to find 6 more hanging around.. Likely many more hidden deep in the planter bushes.

Did the perimeter of the house with some general pest control spray to hopefully keep their food out, and planning some nightly hunting to knock down the population. Any other ideas from anyone who’s dealt with them before?

Gonna have to keep at it a long time because they can go months without eating. They also only need like 1/16" to get into something so spray any and every crack. We had an infestation in our block wall so between spraying that and the footing of the house, we have only seen a couple in the last year or so and none inside.

I always use Bifen IT with Tekko pro, but never had an issue with scorpions. (north phoenix) That combo's potent. There's some other products that will probably work a little better. (CY Kick CS, Onslaught, Demand CS, ect.)

    1. Seal any gaps and cracks around the house perimeter and doors. (caulking, weatherstripping, stucco patch; they can squeeze through the smallest cracks)

    2. Get a one gallon sprayer from HD or wherever. Pick your poison and mix with water per directions.

    3. Wear a mask, gloves, proper clothing and spray 2-3 feet out around the perimeter of the house and 2-3 feet up the sides of the house.

    4. Bifen IT granules can supplement this.

    5. Inside of the home place glue traps around baseboards near water sources and openings. Bathrooms, tubs, doors, ect. Scorpions are practically blind and follow walls for guidance.

Ditch the protective gear, shower and wash clothes immediately after. The spray will last 2-3 months then you'll need to reapply.

I cannot recommend a Smith sprayer enough. Best $50 (x2... because bugs and weeds) I've spent in a while. The spray pattern and volume is top notch so you can hit a wide, even stripe as you move along.

Well, guys, it is time for me to say goodbye. I still don't have my truck back from the shop (that's not the reason), but I moved to Del Rio, Texas to begin my pilot training for the Air Force. Every one of you who I have had the pleasure of meeting has been awesome, and you guys have given me a lot of good advice for my trucks. Hopefully there is a Texas group as good as you guys, but I doubt it.
