Boxes for my 10” subs came in from mrmarv looks good. Will be going for the install tomorrow.

Going with CT Sounds Hydro 10” D4

Recently did a build for my son & really wanted to go that route, but just couldnt...
I went with 2 Hertz 10" MPS 250's shallows...
Im sure the CT's would sound just as good, if not better, for a fraction of the cost...

 

I’m adding qty 4 6.5” under the rear seat too. Just Gotta figure how I’m gonna do it. I already sealed off the holes and such.

 

definetly update the thread or pm my when you get the hydros hooked-up & dialed-in, would love to hear your impressions....
Everyone on TikTok & U-Tube makes them sounds like they will blow the doors off of a JL TW3.....

 

Yea I found about them on IG. Too bad I won’t know with just the 10s since I’ll have the 6.5” hooked up too. But I’ll let you know. I might do a ported set up for the 10s later

 

Ive researched them extensively & from that rabbit hole, I feel theyre better than Skar.....

 

He's a wonderful guy and his work is hands down the best I've seen. I'm currently trying to sell my boxes only because I got an f150. I totaled my tacoma

 

I Got my system partially installed. Front components and 2 10" hydros installed in MrMarvs Boxes. Have yet to install the rear coaxle speakers and the 4 6.5" subs under the seat. First impressions for these subs is that they exceeded my expectations. I only have the volume up 1/4 way with the gain maybe 3/4's way. They pound very well in a sealed inclosure. doesn't do too well on the lower frequency but you can hear it. The bass overall is accurate, clean and hits with authority. With Mrmarv's Boxes they do great! would definitely buy a box from Him again!

Been playing music for a week and it's sounding better during the break in period. Very impressed and Very good subs for the price. Im going to change the setup for the 10" hydro's though to a ported setup just so it can hit the lower frequency a bit better. when I get the 6.5" subs in and DSP tuning complete, they should work great hand in hand.

Before you go to swapping shit out & porting the box which may be too small of a box for a port..
Couple tips that I first hand experienced with my sons budget ranger system that blew me away on the improvement...
I have 1 continues box for his Hertz 10" MPS 250's
I stuffed it with this Acousta Polyfil, the entire 1 lb bag in the box, so maybe split the bag between the 2 enclosures?
Play with the amount....
On "audio forum" from a well car audio older individual swears by this stuff & said dont waste your time with just cheap fill from walmart, this is the stuff you want....
On my sons system it turned those 2 10's into something that almost sounds like 15's, definitely 12's....
I was blown away by the improvement!!!
Also getting the premium subscription for Spotify so you get better quality music, has really made his system into something it truly isnt....
The polyfill really helps with the deep lows....
Also made the system louder.

I tried it with my tacoma jl 12 tw3, & it didnt improve anything, made it worse, I also didnt try various amounts so I may have over-stuffed it....

Interesting on the poly fill. Also I have premiums subs for almost all audio streaming. It definitely does make a difference.

im not worried about airspace. There’s more than enough air space to port for the 10s. My installer made a digital layout of everything and should be good according to CTs specs for the hydros. We can fit 3 in an enclosure but that’s just going to give the same results I currently have. We tried to fit 3 ported but 2 will be max with this sub model.
