These photos always make the Talking Heads version of Take Me to the River start playing in my head.

 

I was under the impression a 3000 reel was going to be noticeably bigger. In Scheels the Shimano 2000 was almost the same size as the 3000 so I grabbed the 3k.
At home the Shimano 3k isn't much bigger than my old Quantum 2k but probably half the weight. (more line is making it look bigger)

I'm not sure.

But, when we work in production areas, we have to wear special vests for static, as well.

The production areas feel like you're in Willy Wonka's factory. There are all kinds of unusual machines that I can't even imagine what they do.

Yeah, that's where I live.
Not so rough now but initially/historically, it was. I think in the logging days it's where many of them stayed. Boozing, gambling, brothels, the good old days.
When the men were men and the women were too.

 

As a teen growing up, I couldn't wait to gtfo of that small town of Merrill.
(10k pop. maybe?).

Now that I'm older it's looking more and more appealing to go back. lol
