Tacoma Bed

I have a bit of damage on the bed of my truck. On the back near the back window there is a bar that piece is damaged an I want to repair or replace. What is this piece called and what time material is it? And how can I repair or repaint it?

 

The bed is made of some sort of composite plastic material. Pretty tough stuff actually and I am not sure if it can be repaired or not. Any chance you could post a picture of the damage as that would make this internet diagnosis go a lot smoother.

 

I’ve always wanted to be the guy to post this. I can die happy now.

Looks like a dog head. Is it the slide portion of the window?
