Help with codes

He said it was running fine before.
And all of a sudden, "just happened"......

If those 2 examples were the case, It wouldn't "Run ok" BEFORE.....

To see if it is smashed down? I just put them.in today, ran it for 5 min while getting codes. It idles a lil better but it still.maoes noises. Ill try and record a vid and load it

 

Is the one you are holding in the picture, one of the old plugs?
Or the new one you put in today?

 

Well the only other option is a foreign object entered the cylinder and bounced around...

 

Did 5 and 6 both look like that? Did you maybe drop it after you pulled it?

My son (19) been driving it , ive driven it. Was fine when he left. In way home om freeway it started. Said started running bat range, went into a limp line mode.

Was making a knock sound and rough idle when I went to get him and tow him home

But this is a weird case study here.

We had a 5/6 misfire......
And still have the 5/6.

I want to lay eyes on stuff. Something odd is going on here.

 

Yeah. If it ran fine before. And then that happened, this isn't going to be a "normal" diagnosis.
Strange things are happening.....

 

Yea being we have knocking noises I'd certainly wana take a look in those cylinders for evidence of something being in there that isn't supposed to be...

 

Well damn, this all sounds not cheap lol.

 

Depends what you find but the knocking noise and the fact you have a smashed electrode is concerning, I'd certainly want to look in the cylinders with a borescope and see if there's any damage.

Sound like a knock to me.
Dang man, that doesn’t sound good at all.

Still think inspection of the cylinder with a camera would be a good first start.

 

That's definitely not a normal sound, for sure need to see what's going on in the cylinders with a borescope.

Any recent work done on the engine?
