Ohtani gave up 1 run but then later scored a run.

My Stros only a half-game back from the janks for second best record in the AL. I think we could almost field two solid playoff pitching rotations with the guys we have on the DL right now. Arrighetti, Ronel Blanco (TJ), Wesneski (TJ), Luis Garcia (TJ), Christian Javier (TJ), McCullers, JP France are the ones that most immediately come to mind.

As a Giants fan I don't like the Dodgers. Having said that, I like Ohtani and was rooting for him. His speed was there but his control was not great. It looked like the control issues were related to his release points. He will get those back. He is fun to watch.

 

These two teams are going to meet again...I can see it!

Ohtani is going to have a sore thigh after taking that hit.

Dave Roberts got ejected for bringing his case about Dodger pitcher hitting Padre batter in previous inning...this hit on Ohtani was retaliation.

I miss the days where retaliation was not so severely punished. You can get a weeks suspension now for retaliation. That just means a pitcher can hit anybody they want without an ejection.....If they do it first.

Dodgers swept the Padres…memorable home stand for sure!

with the Giants in a slump the Dodgers are helping by keeping the G men in the wild card hunt.

 

This was part of a historical at-bat for Will Smith in G2 of the series...he also hit pinch-hit HR to win G3 in the homestand!

Braves have had a rough season but they just swept the NL East leading Mets convincingly. Hope this team is turning it around.

 

Dodgers made it a dramatic/nail-biting bottom of the 9th but came up short.

Ohtani gets hit for the 2nd time in the series.

They take the homestand 3-1.
