    Hello Everyone,
Quick question, does the forum have any experience with replica wheels? I'm looking to get some 4runner "sema" TRD wheels for my 2021 Tacoma SR5. I've been looking around the forums for reputable companies. I want to put 17x8 wheels and 265/70 tires without breaking the bank. These are 2 companies that I've found, don't like the pricing but tell me what you think if you have purchased from them.

I just went through this and coincidentally just had mine installed . Thread is up. I’d go FN based on my most recent experience

I have a set of 17 x 8 +5 offset Sema Pro wheels. Ive have them around 4 years now and I love them and get tons of compliments for them. I got them through a company called OES wheels.

Thank you for considering our wheels. We've offered the FX Pro for over 10 years now. It's a very tried and true design. Our wheel is lighter, stronger, and offers a wider width with lower offset compared to the OEM 17x7" 4Runner TRD Pro wheel. Another often overlooked aspect of our wheel is that our finish is much more durable than the OEM Toyota TRD Pro 17x7" wheels.

The factory style wheels that you posted in the link above have a load rating of 870KG (1,870lbs) per wheel, while our 17x8" FN Wheels FX Pro wheels have a 955KG (2,100lbs+) load rating as tested to SAE J2530 standards (strictest testing standard out there) with up to a 33" tire diameter.

You mentioned not wanting to break the bank, and I don't blame you. There are cheaper "replica" wheels, but you get what you pay for with them. I get calls all the time from customers who thought they'd bought our wheels, but who have had issues with the finish, center caps, center bore machining, and incorrect load ratings. Also, with all the monetary inflation of the last few years plus the recent imposition of tariffs on aluminum, we've managed to keep our price relatively steady. We will have to increase prices slightly later this year, but for now the 17x8" FX Pro wheels are still just $999 / set of four with shipping included anywhere in the contiguous 48 states. By the way - our shipping includes double boxing every wheel, reinforcing all outer edges, fully insuring each wheel in the shipment, and shipping with signature required delivery so that you do not have any issues with delivery. If we packaged and shipped our wheels the same way that our competitors ship their wheels we could probably lower our price by $50 or $60, but we feel that good wheels deserve good packaging and shipping. :)

Feel free to call me if you have any questions about our wheels, wheel fitment, or anything else : (951)735-1100 - office or call/text my cell: (714)390-9387.

I went ahead and bought them—you were absolutely right about everything. The quality and packaging are both really impressive. Before I install these beautiful rims on the truck, I just need two more things: black lug nuts and black TRD center caps with red lettering.
Someone recommended ET lug nuts? Mentioning they offer more thread engagement for added “safety”. I still need to do a bit more research on Tacoma World haha

Thank you very much! I'm really glad to hear that!

Yes, you will need to use extended thread (ET) lug nuts with your new FN FX Pro wheels. We have 3/4" hex head ET lug nuts or Gorilla spline drive ET lug nuts available for a very reasonable cost. Just let me know if you'd like to order some.

As for the center caps, your best option is to order a vinyl applique from this company and add it to our plain matte black cap:

This is what the finished product looks like (these are 17x8" FX Pro wheels with the vinyl "TRD" appliques from Import Equipment):

Just let me know if you need anything else at all. I'm always available to help answer any questions.

I've always liked your version of the Sema rim, it's just a lot cleaner looking than the OEM wheel which I like. But when I was looking for rims in 2019-2020, yours were never in stock, which is great for you, but I ended up buying other replicas from another company.

Thank you for the compliment. I'm sorry to hear that we weren't able to get you a set of wheels back then. 2019~21 was a bit of a challenge for us. We sold thousands of FX Pro wheels during that timeframe, but it was sort of a feast or famine period when it came to inventory levels.

If there's anything I can do for you in the future by all means please do not hesitate to contact me.

    Thread Update:IMG_2101.jpg IMG_2102.jpg

Installed the Import Equipment stickers for the FN wheel center caps and picked up the ET lug nuts directly from the FN Wheels website. Went with Firestone Destination A/T2 tires in size P265/65R17 110S. Overall, really happy with how everything looks. No rubbing issues on the drive home. The truck is still at stock height—no leveling or lift kit installed.
