Seems like your wife was the problem. But getting rid of the pedal commander was likely the cheaper solution.

I just drive around in ECT power mode (automatic lol) and throttle feels good most of the time, I can easily pull away from traffic at red lights with very little throttle pressure most of the time...

But as an old hot rodder, I do plan on getting an OTT tune one day...

On a very loose T.W. observation, I've come to find the majority of people who tell you the pedal commander is junk have never used one.

Their statements are null and void.

Some of us took others experiences skipped the place holder and just opted for the better option.

    Care to explain??

Although it does not increase engine power at any given RPM per say, it does raise the shift points at lower throttle inputs keeping the engine at a higher RPM longer and changes the throttle response to a point.. If you follow the dyno curve, the higher the RPM, the more power the engine makes, therefor if you are staying at higher RPMs, you have more power...I feel the effects more at lower speeds <40ish mph and less at higher speeds >80ish mph...

Sure, I'll explain. You can basically do the same thing with your fucking big toe.

Your big toe does not change the shift patterns and or hold the gear longer under normal acceleration and driving, I'm sorry you don't understand how the ECT Power Mode works and you should try to educate yourself on how electronically controlled transmissions work, and if your Tacoma does not raise the shift points while in ECT mode then you should take it in for repairs... If you drive a 3rd gen with a manual transmission, then your point is moot...

Maybe this will make it easier for you to understand how it works.
Basically hitting the ECT button is like electronically changing the old school governor springs, and or adjusting the TV cable/linkage or Modulator in a non electronically controlled (hydraulic governor) transmission, but without having to jack the vehicle up and changing the governor springs out or making adjustments to the TV cable or Modulator... Not something your big toe can do...

Hope that helps you and anyone else that doesn't understand it...

Scrubbed some tires, and knocked a dent out.

Ive been getting on it a bit more vs when I first bought my truck and babied it. Honestly the computer learning is pretty impressive. The fact that it often times is going up to 3k rpm and holding for longer periods is noticeable. Its also somewhat making me reconsider my driving habits lol.

Still get the back and forth wishy washy shit between 3 and 4 often enough though.
