    Parthenope on MAX.

From how she was born/named...very intriguing movie.

It does go in different directions as far as conflicts with everyone she comes in contact with...

Gary Oldman has a part in it that reflects a character who looks back at his youth.

Born on the 4th of July - Prime

I had seen it but my wife never saw it, Tom Cruise never really seems to mail it in with anything he does...

    The Covenant - Prime

    Enjoyable

Now watching Platoon - Also on Prime

Happy Death Day (2017). OK site. A tribute to Groundhog Day. It was entertaining - a sorority student is stuck in a time loop in which she is murdered. Good ending.

Midnight in Paris (2011). Prime. That was $3.59 well spent. An entertaining semi romantic time traveling film, and I learned a new word - pedantic.

The first one was great, the second was kinda meh. But sequels to shoot 'em up action flicks usually don't live up to the originals.

Few episodes into Vietnam in HD on Prime.

Saw most of the Ken Burns one on Netflix many years ago... but it erased my progress, couldn't finish it and then couldn't find it :bananadead:

    Finished The Survivors

it is kinda a hot mess that you can’t put down- the show is like the town

What is wrong with this place?

if you can get past the Tasmania soap opera and some marginal actors it’s watchable

    some will say slow burn

Re-watch of Dead Like Me on Prime, there should have been more seasons of this.
    And Stranger Things on Netflix.

Deja Vu (2006). Hulu. Good action film that moves along quickly. I had seen the movie before but forgot the ending.

Sexy Beast (2000). Hulu. Did not get the title, but interesting storyline with good cast.

The Pitt, HBO/Max. Fast paced show filmed almost entirely within the emergency room of an overwhelmingly busy hospital dealing with a constant influx of trauma patients. It's good but a little hard to watch while trying to eat lunch on my break lol.

Like a more modern day ER but without the soap opera story lines, more true to life I guess.

I too finished watching The Pitt (2025). Max. Enjoyed the fast pace and hope the series continues.

A friend of mine's partner works in the ER and said out of all the hospital/doctor drama themed TV shows, it's the most realistic depiction by far.

I was partial to House back in the day, loved that show at least up until season 7 or so when it started jumping the shark (after that first big writer's strike in 2007 or 2008). But that was definitely an embellishment on real life, though Hugh Laurie was great in it.
