Do you use that sealant in addition to tape, or do you only need the sealant?

I've been using Google Location sharing with my wife when I'm out riding by myself. I've got nothing to hide, lol.

I just am trying to get out of work and get some air flow. And it's a really nice back road home.

That seat shouldn't be too far out. I can't wait to see it.

Hmmm, I used tape but no sealant! I followed JaketheGardenSnake's vid for the most part...

@oldtoyman - Interested to hear the results!

We used some industrial 3m clear tape when i got my yz450f wheels done. Idk what it was but it was expensive supposedly

5200 is a super aggressive sealant. If anything will work it's that. It's for glueing hull fittings to boats, you can even install it while wet or underwater. It's definitely a permanent solution

Sealant is done. First I hit all the nipples and make sure they are covered. Then I apply a top coat with a putty knife. Doesn’t have to be pretty. Now just let it cure.
Also tighten any loose sounding spokes. This is NOT the fast cure so it can take up to 7 days to fully cure. I read if you keep it misted with water it will help it cure faster. Not a big deal because I will be riding the Harley next week when my friend shows up.

Wouldnt you want to cover up the spoke nipples so they dont get sealant in them?

Probably. There are a bunch of different ways to seal them and this is the way I chose. Is it the right way? I doubt it but it should work. It worked on the Harley wheel I did and also the DNA front wheel I have on the Harley was done this way. It just needs to hold air. I am sure if the spokes ever need to be adjusted I will have a problem.?? IDK They have a tape kit but it would have cost over 100 bucks to do both wheels. I went cheap.

Mine just checks my location. if she knows I’m going out just to ride, she prob checks it more to make sure I’m not at one spot, on the road or at the ER. She knows there’s a good chance I’m not calling her (if I’m able) until I’m settled in so she doesn’t freak tf out and in advance lol

1st night ride on the Versys. The new fog/spot lights I installed last year are awesome. Much light right where it needs to be. I need to relocate the switch as it's not easy to get to when I need them off for oncoming traffic.
Stock headlight, sucks beyond belief. Brights are no better. Friggen 1990 Sportster had a better headlight.
It may just need to be aimed down a bit, seems to be up in the treetops.

I installed a new headlight on my yamaha and its rarely dark enough now.

I envy americans for their normal sunsets lol. 830pm vs our 10pm, and I'm not that north.
