Those are not KO2s. Need to train with KO2s before challenging The Mountain

Essentially speedo is taken from the rear wheel speed sensors. You can get a module as the older manual trucks took it from the transfer case. So our tcases have the speedo hole. Then it’s three wires to do.
I linked this in my build thread a while ago.

    how’s your progress @Windigo , eta?

back is in progress…that metal is thin… should finish back and start rockers this weekend, then the front to complete.

Can you adapt that speed sensor or any of the speed sensors anywhere in the new axles or tcase?

I know guys who go with aftermarket cases are able to retain the speed sensor. Not sure the route.
Only saving grace is you should just loose speedo and can go to a gps style speedo since you are a manual. The autos go into limp mode.

The easiest answer is just double sided tape this over the stock speedo and give it 12v

I have stopped giving my self unrelaistic expectations of when I will be finished, there are too many problems to adress and man I'm at that point where I'm starting to second guess or even regret what I'm doing. But I know that feeling will pass just need some more "win's" to get me over that.

just looked up advance adapters they have something but all for gm or jeep speedo's nothing for toyota . Worst case scenario or "for now scenario" would be going with the Amazon special.

I'm with you on this, thanks

I didn't expect the Parts Avatar pick up counter to be so cozy with just one guy serving everyone. I suppose that's how they pass the savings on to us.

^I typically have a better experience at the Wrench Monkey, but sometimes one shop has stock while the other one doesn't.

Of note, the Wrench Monkey has Aisin-branded Subaru HP and Toyota WS transmission fluids for a bit less money than dealers.
