What are you looking for in a unit? If you want a dual bander I would recommend the yaesu 8800r. I bought the 7900r and I would much rathr have the dual freq capability. Lmk if you would like to see my install.

    Thanks guys!

Yaesu 8800r is exactly what I'm looking into! You recommend anything from Kenwood or Icom? I'm leaning more towards Yaesu since HRO got some sales right now.

I don't. But hey when you are ready, I'll do the install for a case of beer! Where you gonna mount the antenna. I would recommend through roof.

I initially signed up for it, but I stopped checking the thread. Do we have one set up in the bay area yet? I think I saw other regions have theirs set up already

Lolz I knew you were joking as soon as I saw that :). Nice I think once these tires wear out I'm gonna bump up to either 285 Goodyear MTR's, 305 MTR's, or I believe it's the 315/70 Hankook Dynapro MT's.
