Can't get oil pan drain bolt off

    quite a bit of an exaggeration. yes, it drains slower. but in the 5-10 minute range. enough to be too slow if you're only doing an oil change, but still faster to let it drain while also inspecting individual brake/tire life, and any moving assemblies for wear/rot.

    That's the newer mustangs and trucks, traditionally american was almost exclusively SAE and apparently adopted the euros typical sizing when they switched to metric. This euro vs asian sizing started way before american cars ever went metric.

    Ford hasn't use SAE fasteners on the mustang chassis since 1978, so i'm not sure what you mean by "newer".

    Doesn't change a thing, it was asked why does toyota use different preferred sises compared to Ford. Asian and euros have been using different preferred sizes since long before the Metric conversion act was passed in 1975, IRT the americans, it's a fence they could fall on ether side of, due to the long history or american/english/euro collab they fell on the side of 13/15 (euro) instead of the 12/14 asians prefer. That is why the two are different which was the original question.
