So true. My last truck had a tank and was so slow. This time I did no tank and used a big 5cfm compressor with front and rear outlets…..very fast

Idk but have had both and the tank was CLEARLY slower. Once the tank runs out the compressor now has to fill the tank AND the tire at the same time…that was my reasoning anyways

Can you elaborate more on this? First I've heard about it. Did you just remove or shorten the standoffs or something? I've got one but certainly wouldn't mind if it tucked up a bit better, hate the leading edge hanging out under the bumper!

Where and how did you connect your boost pressure sensor?

Nice. I always like a deal. This one is faster, but not by a lot.

Power was from a pair of 4ga welding wire running from a blue sea breaker under the hood. I have a wedge camper in the back some some minor power needs so I built a little fuse panel in the back in one of the cubbies. The compressor is only protected by the main 4ga feed from the engine bay. I have a mount for the breaker and my relay box (for lights) in one of those brackets that mounts near the brake booster. very similar to what Anthony250F is showing in the post below my mine above.

the two rear bolts fit really snug but they do fit if you use something like an 18 inch ratchet, for better leverage. The front 2 replace OEM bolts on the frame. Some videos don’t show that part of the installation

New ucas came in yesterday, pretty impressed with JBA so far. Box was shipped quickly and was packaged up really secure. Came with a bunch of slaps for the toolbox and a handwritten note and lifetime warranty. Can’t wait to toss them on in the next week or so. Also included instructions for whoever does the alignment which was a nice touch

Also just ticked over 165k on the odo

Sorry - still not clear on what you did here. Did you remove the radiator support braces entirely to allow the plate to be bolted on without spacers?

Nicely done! Wish I had the know how to make my own stuff like that. Definitely like the lower profile with the upward tilt, makes those rear bedsides a little less boxy looking

Because you have to move more air to re-inflate the tank too

    Try it yourself…

New ECGS rear 3rd member in the DD mostly done. Also did new axle seals, orings and all new brakes. Just need to add fluid, bleed the brakes and reinstall the driveshaft in the morning. Only real issue was getting the new 3rd to go into the housing. After fussing with it for about 5 mins it dawned on me that I was trying to install it upside down.:facepalm:
On the axle seal topic, apparently someone previously did a halfass job of replacing one. They seem to have used an aftermarket one and added a bead of rtv. In the process they also bent the hell out of the dust shield. Fortunately the new one went right in no problem.

Their testing showed very little improvement in time, not a decrease.
Their argument to remove it was space it took up - mine is under the truck

There is the time to inflate the tank first. That is indeed something that takes some additional time. It only takes a minute or two. I turn on the compressor and then grab the tools so it's not a concern.

    I will keep my tank.

Curious if you have access to a shop or did you get your own bender? Planning on learning welding this summer with a few truck projects.
