I ordered an OEM bed mat for my 3rd gen Tacoma from a dealership across the country. It took them like 3 weeks to even ship it. When I got it, it didn't look like I was expecting, like every other mat on here. Did they ship me a 3rd party mat instead of an OEM?

The ridges run front to back instead of diagonally and there's no "Tacoma" stamp on it. I feel like not having the diagonal ridges would be a downgrade.

I purchased part #PT580-35050-SB through a specific dealer on autoparts.toyota.com. The plastic bag it came in had a label on it that said that part number and that it was a Toyota part, but I really don't feel like it is. There is NO part number on the mat itself.

That is not any Tacoma OEM mat that I ever saw. I would take that back and get a refund.

Yup. What's the dealership? I'll try and order a LB and maybe they'll send me the OEM one

There are no real OEM bed mats. Toyota doesn't make bed mats. Same as bed covers and other accessories. They sell 3rd party mats under license through dealers. Maybe some regions get supplies from different manufacturers.

Yes they sent you a 3rd party mat, I’d flag them and send an email to Toyota, dealership loyalty is important. Why didn’t you order locally? Cheaper would be my guess. You get what you pay for.

Yes. That is not the OEM one, and you should get what you paid for. But . . .

I traded for a mat that looks like that including the SB version for my LB. It was great, truthfully, and the length difference was never an issue. A long while later, an opportunity came up to trade for an OEM LB mat. I like it less. The lateral edges, esp in the word 'Tacoma', make loading and unloading quite a pain. The letters catch on everything that I slide in there, esp boxes. I kinda wish that I had LB version of your mat. Haha!

    For reference:

The dealership near me will drop the price on things to match what I would pay in shipping, if I find it cheaper elsewhere.

I really liked it after I sealed it up. Now with that case holding recovery gear and such, it does not get much use. It was dumb for Toyota to kill it for sure.
