I can’t remember exactly what the lifespan (years)for tires is but I think five years is getting pretty close to the end.

Edit: Most of the major manufacturers recommend no more than six years for a mounted tire, Goodyear included. I replaced mine on my 4Runner due to age. Never had a set last six years on my Tacoma due to mileage.

After Discount Tire acquired Tire Rack, they changed their online marketing strategies so that there were less conflicts between the two entities. The guy that ran the DT account on TW mentioned as much in a few posts a couple years back. I don't know the whole story but that is the gist.

I'm having these tires installed soon. Waiting on a new set of lug nuts. Replacing Falken AT3, which have been good tires, but not the deal they were a few years back. The Coopers are lighter and should have similar performance.
Made in USA is OK with me.

    Just had them installed today.

They look better than I thought they would and are really smooth and quiet on the pavement. I want to look at my new tires this evening, then dirt roads tomorrow.

They look good, tread depth looks much deeper than 13/32.

Well, they're not new any more.

    Almost NewCoopers6-19-25.jpg

Handled rocky dirt Forest Service roads like a champ. They seem a smoother overall ride than the Falkens they replaced.
I did notice that at highway speeds, 60-66mph, when the tires were cold, the ride was pretty lumpy. All AT tires are like this, but it was pretty noticable. When the tires warmed up, it was a smooth ride.
So far, so good. I like how they ride and they look pretty good. See how long they last.

Do they weigh the same? My At3 are heavy. If lighter maybe i can get 11-12 mpg.

The problem with buying good tires there’s never a reason to replace them.

Not good. Some balancers don’t balance. They need proper maintenance.

I think ive narrowed down my decision to Cooper discoverers at3 4s on mu kids 2010 ranger
    in 265 75 15 which is equivelent to a 31 10.5 15'ish....
early on in this thread think the op mentioned the discoverer is discontinued, im not seeing that...
    Unless its a size thing?

The 4S has been discontinued and replaced with the R&T.
