I'm in the middle of adding sound deadner to the doors and the cab. Im not concerned about gas mileage. My concern is hinge sag. Does anyone know a safe weight to add to front doors without worry about door sag? I can't find anything on toyotas website. I can't even find an actual weight of the door itself to see what percent 15lbs would be

I used both dynamat and MLV on all 4 doors. Added close to 30lbs to each door. No problems over the last 5 years

Ok that makes me feel a bit better. The door still closes ok just my ocd noticing that it's a tiny bit harder to close and drops like maybe a 16th of an inch when it comes off the latch

Same…all 4 doors are sound deadened outside metal and the interior side metal panel. No idea how much weight I added but the door(s) are unquestionably heftier and you can feel their weight. No problems with any hinge or latches.

These may or may not be adjusted a bit by lifting (bending the door) it up. There is a tool for this that fits into the latch mechanism. Perhaps someone with more knowledge than me can chime in. It’s been a long time since I’ve had to work on doors of a new car.

I'm starting to thing it came like this and I just never noticed it before. I think if I just move the bottom hinge back slightly it will be fine

    LS1 swap with nitros.
It’s fine. Don’t touch the hinges or you’re going to have a headache to deal with. I added lots of deadened to mine too and 7 years no issues.

My worry is when opening the driverside door I have maybe a 16th inch of clearance before it starts to hit. Probably just gonna have a body shop adjust it so im not stuck with a problem

It sounds like you don't currently have a problem, but you are trying to create one. Don't overthink it.
