Hey there, new to the site. 96 2.4l automatic 2wd 230k. Was running rough at idle, decided to replace injectors. Ran well other than idle. Replaced injectors, cups. It starts and idles fine, but as soon as i hit the gas it dies. So i replaced TPS, same condition. If i open the throttle very slowly, it will come up to speed fine. But just normal pedal operation and it dies. Have checked all connections, grounds. Any ideas what might have caused this? It ran fine before. Injectors are firing. Thanks guys for any suggestions!

    What brand injectors?
Aftermarket injectors are trash, junk, poor quality and rarely, if ever, have the correct flow rate.

I got them from A-Premium. They looked quality and matched the old ones exactly.

Did you recheck all of your electrical connections? Sounds like a problem I had a couple weeks ago when I forgot to reattach the plug to my air-thingy that's between the air filter box and the air tube (can't recall right now the name of it). When I disconnected it I hung it behind the air tube so it would be out of the way (and out of sight!) and then promptly forgot about it.

You might try hooking up a scan tool and looking at Live Data as you give it throttle, see what your fuel trims do.

When buying Fuel Injectors, you get what you pay for....
You got 4 injectors for $50. (Sounds like you got what you paid for ......"Fuel Squirters" .......

    A good set will $200.00+

I'd go with MotorWest, they seems to have a good reputation among the Tacoma Community. (Denso was OEM, they don't offer them any longer)
