I got a small machine shop that has been used for nothing other than storage for the last few years. Mostly because i don’t know how to operate any of it lol

I know you've got a full-time job and all, but if you really wanted to, it'd be worth doing a little side work with that bender locally.

Let your buddies know you got one in case they don't, same with those you wheel with as you never know who might have a project that needs such work. Your investment in your tools are an even bigger investment in yourself, allowing you to learn new things and offer more and more.

Then next thing you know you're buying a press brake, a mill, and other cool shit and you're able to offer so much more as you learn how to use everything.

    It's awesome really.

That’s the plan and I love the process! My day job is demanding and can be pretty brutal on my psyche sometimes, and there is nothing better to shed that bullshit than working with my hands and focusing my brain on a challenge. And if I can help my friends or even start making a little cash too, that’s even better!

Woodworking used to be that for me but I ended up losing my passion for it at some point. Tinkering on the truck and getting out in nature filled some of that void, but it’s not as on demand as just walking out and picking up something I’m working on in the garage. Metalwork kinda bridges all of those things and has been an absolute blast to start learning!

Also nice to have some other skills if I ever have enough and want to walk away from the corporate nonsense :boom:

@time623 Took your advice on this new map - if I'm having to go somewhere, just immediately fix it cause I'll most likely have to use it

Got the fleet ready (I'm still using rusted vehicles )

And yep, first objective and it was put to use

You can see where I even laid out the 55 gallon drums next to each other

We made it to Vegas around 1am. My truck temperatures did way better after dark and it was only 73° in Baker but we didn't stop there haha

You gotta chop up some of the cheese curds for a grilled cheese sandwich and let me know what you think. I'll usually add a touch of fresh pepper too
