4th Gen Blue Crush Thread

Doesn't seem to be a Blue Crush Thread yet, so I'll start. 1000 miles in, love this truck!

 

Finally, the best color available!

 

Bought new in April. A great upgrade from my 2019

 

Waited nearly three months to pick up in July a TRD-OR base with my "must haves": Manual transmission, heated seats, 14" screen, and blue crush metallic. Love the truck and smile every time I drive it.

 

Just got my 24 OR Tuesday. In cloudy conditions - looks purplish. In bright sun - great dark blue.

 

Just had my 5k "service" done. Really enjoying it so far, Just need to find a way to get my radio gear organized in the front.

My son always wanted a Tacoma since seeing one in the Sonic the Hedgehog movie a few years back. Since his favorite color is blue, he was quite the happy camper to get this on his 16th birthday!

 

That is quite the gift! I'll never forget when my parents got me a new Tacoma my senior year of high school. Felt so incredibly fortunate and still have the truck today! Had a 1997 Jeep XJ beforehand. He'll never forget that!

I think this is THE underrated color of the 4th gen.

Once upon a time ago I went to go look at a 2013 Nautical blue Tacoma Prerunner. It was sitting next to an identical configured silver Prerunner. I bought the silver truck, but always liked that blue.

Fast forward 11 years. I bought a Nautical blue 4Runner this time last year. One of the last fifth gens made. #BlueClub

 

Joining the Blue Crush club - got my first (limited) Taco a couple weeks ago. Parked on the street yesterday and when I came back to it, I wasn't really paying attention. I reached for the door handle and subconsciously something seemed off. The door handle was black (instead of chrome) and my mind was like wtf. What happened was another Blue Crush (OR) parked in front of me

Thinking back, should have totally took a pic.

Liked the options for Limited, since I'm less likely to do off roading, but probably going to Dip my chrome bits black.

 

No mods coming for a bit besides protection stuff (WeatherTechs, mud flaps, rock sliders). Besides getting used to the turning radius, I am really enjoying the truck!

 

Wow, and to think I got a pack of smokes and a bottle of scotch instead. Scottish parents.
