I would recommend bringing an extra pair of briefs, just in case.

I've heard the standard is every five and if it runs in family or they find anything it's usually earlier. Like I said even the nurse that was discharging me told me to be told 10 years is unusual. Either way I'm happy about that!

Mine were ten years apart at MGH. That's what my PCP and the Gastroenterologist said I should have them. Maybe it's changed since 2015, but no one told me in 2020 that I needed another one.

Does anyone have any experience with ECM tunes? Either doing them or having someone else do one for them. I'm mostly looking to see if I can improve fuel mileage.

You need to get a supercharger along with your tune.:burnrubber:

If you don't develope a led foot, you'll get better gas mileage.

I got the YotaWerx tune for my 4Runner. I got the tune for better throttle response and a few extra low end HP, I think gas mileage is about the same though. I just noticed the YotaWerx thread on 4Runners.com is locked @mZiggy

I've run multiple tunes in mine. From original OVTunes, OTT, KDMax.

Any increase in MPGs, was incremental, and not noticeable.

Biggest advantage, was making me hate the transmission a little less.

I do my own flashes, but, I dont modify the tune.

Probably not worth it for me then. Mileage isn't all that great because of the distances here and the speed "suggestions" on the roads. We're on the edge of "rural" areas and the speed limits on one or two lane roads are close to what they are on the Interstates in MA.

Ah, Austin area if I remember correctly?

Yeah, if I stay off the highways, out of city, I do pretty well in the Tacoma.
But, back in Corpus, pffft.. 18mpg TOPS, usually 15/16mpg. It seems to like the 40-50mph of the backroads.
But, city traffic, and Texas highways with the high speeds.. no sweet spot for the Tacoma

It's the same deal for me. I usually take the back roads to/from work, and do about 2 mpg better than the highway.

Texas traffic is something else, possibly worse than RI.

I now understand why car INsurance is so expensive in Texas. Part of it is hail damage which they have to cover and I think there is no deductible. The other part is that people drive like Kamikaze pilots on the roads and like it's a Demolition Derby in the parking lots.

Then they go on FB and complain about how much they pay for insurance.

Our daughter moved her in 2014 and told me how bad the drivers were. Especially in Austin where she swore they were all stoned. She gave me some driving tips, especially at traffic lights. Try not to be the first in line at a red light, because people try to beat the yellow lights and blow through red lights. Best to wait a couple of seconds for stragglers.

My wife and I were out today and I came up to a yellow light. I could have stopped, but the guy behind me (in a white3rd Gen) was so close behind me that I was sure he'd rear end me. I went through just as it turned red and HE FOLLOWED ME through the red light.

People also seem to think that using the turn signals is a sign of weakness.

So, I'll probably just suck it up and be thankful that gas is still cheaper than most of the rest of the country.

I also like taking back roads so I can enjoy the beautiful scenery. Seriously, the rural areas are beautiful.

All in all, it's it isnt much different.
The other cost factor on the insurance, is, Uninsured Motorist. That is a huge problem there.

Now, I haven't been home since, 2022, but, I prefer Texas traffic to here.
Can't speak to Austin, but, that applies to Houston, Corpus, the Valley, most areas between.

This is why insurance cost so much in RI too. I pay even more now because I live in a "high risk area"
