Everything looks more expensive in Australia, stock the thing cost 106k for something Toyota wouldn't even dare sell in the US. I think I'd just get a Ranger Supper Duty, stock the SD is probably closer to the LC once modified. Ones a ute and the other a troop hauler, not much of a comparison.

Why do people post what they buy, build, and give pricing details if they don't want everyone who clicks on their page to tell them how they should have spent their money?

I have a mid-engine flat 6 and the process is similar. It was weird when I got the car and I'm still not crazy about it. To get an accurate reading consistency is key. When I get home I let the car sit for 5 minutes after shutting it off, then start it up and run the program. It takes 60 seconds to do its thing. I just changed the oil in my Tacoma and really appreciated the dipstick...

I had a part go from the east coast to Guam before arriving in CA. Wild times with that delivery. Arrived though!

My BMW also has no dipstick, and it drives me absolutely bat shit crazy! Not only can I not directly check the fluid level, I also can't observe its condition or scent, which removes several methods of detecting trouble before it becomes an issue. Absolutely horrible design decision. I've actually looked for some way to add one, but have yet to find one.

Ever since the conversion to USB-C, I've been steadily changing out my electronics from USB Micro and all of the other flavorings to just USB-C. Trying to make it easier to charge things around here.

But now I have a NEW issue..... Apparently most electronics save a half cent by sending you a "charging only" cable that doesn't support data transfer too. So now when I need to update the firmware on those devices I have to go and find a muther flippin data cable. FAAARK!

Now going through my collection of useless charging cables that hang me up and tossing them only to buy more USB-C cables that can handle Charging AND DATA!
Bring me the head of the nit-wit that thought Charging Only was a great idea. These should be tagged to clearly indicate they are an inferior cable.

Don't worry - as soon as you finish this conversion, USB-E will be released.

I'm kinda hoping that Mag Safe charging will be adopted by more products. No cables at all. Then all you need are USB-X for Data.

I don't think any of my USB-C devices came with charging only cables. Only my OnePlus phones come with special cables because they charge very fast, but they still can be used for data.

All of my charge-only USB-C cables are red on the end :notsure:

That said, agreed that it's pretty bogus.
